I think I'm going to attempt the brown bag method. I tried a sample the other day and it was gooooood. Very smooth smoke, good mix of body and head high. It took a minute to come on, it wasn't instant by any means.

Right on man. I usually pull the fan leaves all off while the plants still alive. Then I'll clip each branch and throw em in a brown bag. Carry em upstairs and sit down with a Pyrex tray and a bowl for clipping. Any of the small buds not worth trimming I just pull off and throw those in a brown bag. Then I hand trim the sugar leaf off of the main colas (those go in the brown bag also) then I take my top colas and tie them all to a coat hanger and hang them for a few days until they feel mostly dry but not dried out. Then i remove the buds from stem until it's just the top cola . Weigh them.and the popcorn bud/sugar leaf bag . Then give em another day or so until the bud is ready for jars. Then I throw a boveda 62 in the bottom of the jar and have a few jars labeled that I then open and check probably every 30 seconds like a maniac. Seeing what smells come through as they cure. All the brown bag with fine trim and buds I make oil/butter/hash ... w.e you fancy. Butter lasts a long time in the freezer and would make some killer white widow cookies... just a thought =p

Oh, I'm definitely making some butter. I've seen multiple ways to make it though. Some people use ALL of the plant, but I think I'm just going to use the sugar leaves and crock pot it. @lilm00re14

For butter I take the buds and sugar leaves and throw them in my nutri bullet. Then take about 4 sticks of organic unsalted butter (no Monsanto growth hormones) and melt them in the crockpot. Add the buds and keep her on low most of the day warm through the night (just in case) agitating every time I walk by the pot. Then strain and squeeze the butter out of plant matter using unbleached cheesecloth. Usually then I'll put the butter in an 8oz ball jelly jar with a label and date on it. .
