Hello all

As I'm sure is the case of many people, 2020 was the year I decided to dip my toe into cannabis growing. My plant is now at the 12 week mark, and its had all sorts of hurdles along the way. A week before flowering a possum ate almost the entire plant, insufficient nutrients at the beginning coupled with some average sunlight exposure. Things went well in the middle but these last 4 weeks have been really humid and overcast.

Now my girl may be tiny, coming in at possibly 9" tall, and she may not be that pretty, butI still love this plant.

But i'm at a loss here, everything I've read says Autoflowers run on an internal clock, and will be ready at 12 weeks regardless. Under the microscope she does have roughly 50% cloudy trichomes, but showing this plant to people on reddit they suggest leaving it another 4-6 weeks. Which will bring its life-span to a whopping 16-18 weeks, which i'm completely fine with if its something I need to do.

What do you suggest guys? How am I supposed to tell when this things ready, all the information i've gathered so far has conflicted with other information, so a little more info can't hurt.

Your plant looks like it has a bit of growing to do yet. It is quite leafy, so difficult to tell on those photos.

With you growing outside, then your 12 week total will go out the window. Totals on seed packets should be taken with a pinch of salt anyway.

Keep gping man, but more time needed for defo.

There is no internal clock saying it will finish in 12 weeks. Trich's are what count if she needs longer to get cloudy/amber then give her more time.

Thanks for the tips guys if it's got more to grow that's more good news than anything, more growing means larger yield and a chance to dry it outside or the middle of summer. Thanks guys, I was very confused.

Dad gum possum! :deadhorse: I would make sure it gets as much sun as possible. I appreciate not tossing her after that happened and are keeping her going to the finish, giving her a chance.

@Kyote here's how it looked after the great possum attack of October. Recovered far better than expected

Drying outside??:redcard: Definitely not a good idea

@Kyote wouldn't a paper bag not allow much airflow?

Because my plant is so small and I live in ~32c degree heat my worry is it drying out too fast :/ On average the humidity seems to be floating around the low 60%'s.

My plan was to hang the entire plant upside down in a cardboard box with some holes poked in it, but this bag method looks a hell of a lot easier :)
