I had a long time growing friend come pay me a visit today. He's been growing for about 20 years or so and now just grows the most amazing outdoor specimens.
Well to cut a long story short he asked if he could give me some advice....well I could hardly say no and I would welcome any advice given.
Next thing I know he's plucking away at my girl telling me to start flushing her ready to chop next Friday.
I'm so happy this kush is finally near done.
I totally trust this guy as his knowledge has taken time and very good results to build up such a hood reputation.
After he'd finished plucking her he said I should get a pretty decent amount from her
Looks like that could go 2-3 more weeks to me, can you post some close ups? Leaves are still quite green, usually they will start to yellow and die when plant nears the end of its life. Looks good BTW.
I only have the phone cam unfortunately. She'll get another week and I trust this old friend 100% if he would let me post some pics of his plants you would see but he's old school ultra paranoid about that sort of thing so I have to respect that but let's just say his weed is the only stuff that makes my head spin like when you first start smoking
I did say to him that I thought she would need the reserves in the leaves and that they would turn colour but he assured me because it's a kush that its OK to do this and she's ready plus he bet me that if it didn't he would give me 2oz of his private smoke
So chop day tomorrow. She's spending her last 48 hours in the dark and I will start chopping tomorrow evening.
I know it'a probably still a bit early but I just want her out the way so I can concentrate on other projects.
She's in a cupboard for now and needless to say my whole house smells rather nice, she's giving off a real strong weed smell but if you move or touch her she smells like a freshly opened packet of starburst sweets.
I'll post pics of the chop and trim with a wet weight then again after its dried and cured a bit
Thanks to everyone who gave me help and guidance along the way too many to mention by name but thank you all. It wasn't an easy grow and she went through a lot I can only imagine how tall she would have been if I hadn't snapped her but hey ho it's been a great learning curve for me
I have 3 other journals going now so I will still be around for a while yet picking all your brains.
Once again thanks all
