Mephisto Genetics First Auto Grow - Mephisto Double Grape in soil with GBD SS mix

Thanks for the info @Loud Pipes. Keeping an eye on them multiple times a day (cause I can). Other then some burned tips on the emerging 4th node, no other signs just yet. So maybe this won't be an on-going issue. I am trying to judge the vertical growth against others through their grow logs, and while it appears to be behind a bit, I am thinking that could also be a number of other factors ( pot size, phenol, too much light from two autocobs too close,...). Definitely first-time grower errors or paranoia.
This is your first grow? Well then just learn from it and don't give up. I've been growing pot for a long long time and I think that I have made every mistake known to mankind and if there are other undiscovered mistakes out there then I'm sure I will find them. Everyone of my present grows is still somewhat of a tweak on the previous grow. At least now I get decent yields and nice bud, The Super Soil was for me a new product and I will spend time learning how to use it. Stay with AFN and learn from it and always remember with auto's less is normally better than more. Pipes

Not my first grow (have grown photo's for some time), not my first attempt at auto's either. BUUUUTTTT, my first attempt at auto's with a little knowledge. And you know what they say about a little knowledge, it can make you dangerous.

Day 30. This girl sure doesn't look like she is in any hurry to get to flowering. But she also isn't reaching for the stars (or in this case the cob's) either. She is throwing out new nodes, and I am having to do some restraint and leaf tucking to make sure everything that wants light, gets light. I fed yesterday, 40 ounces of filtered water, 1.7 grams of Recharge+, and .6ml of MammothP ph'ed to 6.5. I started with only 30 ounces, and after 30 minutes saw no runoff. I gave her another 10 ounces and began to see a little runoff so I stopped. I have turned both cobs back on, and raised them to 36" above the tops of the DG. She is just a tad under 13" tall. Not sure how long she will take to complete flowering , but at this point with no signs of flowering present or near present, I would think this might be an 80+ day plant. We shall see. On to the pictures.

Day 35 - Not much vertical growth the last 5days. However, the leaves and lateral branching are continuing to grow, so I guess that means a bushier pheno of the DG is in store for me. You can see a lot of the burnt tip ends in the photos, so I decided to water-only (walmart filtered water ph'ed to 6.4) for the previous two waterings. I have gone to watering every two days. Day 31 I used 30 ounces and had a small bit of runoff. Today, I used 25 ounces with no runoff, so I went with another 10 ounces and had the slightest bit of runoff. So she is beginning to drink more. Plant looks better with just plain water instead of mammothP and Recharge+ in the water. I will continue this plain water until I see she needs a boost from either stretch or bud building. Starting to see a few preflowers, so things are happening.
Now onto the pictures....

Hey, great job so far! I've done a few grows with gbd's supersoil with autocobs and I've used pretty much the same nutes as you except for the addition of some calmag. I actually stopped feeding a couple of plants calmag during the holidays and one showed deficiencies fast. You may not need it but it's just a heads up, best of luck with your grow! :greenthumb:

Your doing well on your first grow, follow the advice to keep at it and try to improve your skills each round. Plenty of good input on this site. That's my mentality also.. :)

My Double Grape's with R/O Original and @gbd soil amendment, tap water (~110ppm) and PH down to 6.5. Using ~ 48oz every 48 hours.. expecting them to start tapering down on the usage soon.

Day 40. She has been fed twice since the last post, once was just a 30 ounces of water only, and yesterday she received 40 ounces of a 50/50 mix. The first 20 ounces was Filtered Walmart water ph'ed to 6.3 and the 2nd 20 ounces was Walmart purified water (no minerals added) with 1.7grams of Recharge+ and .6ml of MammothP ph'ed to 6.4. There has been some vertical growth since the last posting (day 35), she is now just a tick under 18" tall and almost 24" wide. She has multiple tops trying to reach for the light, and I am leaf tucking on a daily basis (sometimes multiple times in a day). There still appears to be no evidence of preflowering, so she might turn into a monster at this rate. Now on to the pictures.

Day 45 - She has had a very explosive last 5 days as she now is just a shade under 22" and almost 26" wide. I am having to leaf tuck multiple times a day. She is flowering now, and it looks like I will have between 14-16 bud sites at the top of the canopy. I think she will reward me for taking so long to get started flowering. She had a plain watering on day 41, and on day 44 she had a watering that contained recharge+ and mammothp. All waterings have been ph'ed to 6.5. She is definitely taking over my cabinet and leaving no room for anyone else. 3-3500k autocobs going right now and I lowered 2 of them above her to 24" above her top. Now onto the pictures.
