Hi friends
One of my friends he came from Sierra Leone told me that the growers there put 3 or 4 plants in one pot to find the strongest plant.
They cut down the other and let only be one at live.
What do think about or has anybody try that befor.

In a country where weed is grown out doors you never know which male has pollinated your females.

Cannabis is pollinated by the wind and can travel for miles before it hits your female plant.

This causes a lot of of diversity in the seeds that you get, when the seeds are grown, some may be tall and lanky , some short and stout.

The multiple planting allows the grower to choose the type of plant they want to grow and ditch the rest.

Selective indoor breeding of plants produce plants that are a lot more homogenous and display almost no variation o have just a few dominant pheno types. These are the strains that you would find in a seed bank/ seed selling site.

We have the luxury of not having to grow multiple plants to find the best plant as we know the genetic make up of the strains we buy.

For example we know that Lowryder is Williams Wonder x Northern Lights #2 x Mexican Ruderalis
Lowryder has the following know phenotypes
1.: short, compact, fastly blossoming, indica-dominant Phenotype #2
2.: long, stretched, slowly blossoming, sativa-dominant Phenotype #1

We also know approximately how tall it grows, that it autoflowers and how long it's flowering period is.

Most of the guess work has been taken out by the breeder, so there is no need to grow multiple plants to selct which ones survive and which ones get chucked.

On occassion a special pheno may be found which may be of interest to a breeder who is looking for certain traits to use in a cross.

Got to strongly disagree, multipot grows are an excellent way of finding those keepers or the strongest in the bunch... Even with the strains we buy there is tons of pheno variations, if space is limited and your looking for photo keepers or breeding autos multipots IMHO are an incredible tool! Don't ever trust that just one bean of a strain is going to be a good representation of it.... Unless your dealing with ibls and or landraces that breed true growing multiples is a good way ;)

I understand and respect you opinion Yoda :) your a breeder and you will have the bias towards finding those special genetics.

However a hobby growers who is paying £5 or more per seed from a seed company/breeder, where the breeder has to for the greatest part, tried to homogenize & stabilize a strain, albeit with a few distinct phenotypes and of course there will a plethora of less distinct variations which breeders may look for.

However if you are not a breeder and you aren't growing with wind pollinated cannabis (which will produce 100's if not thousands of seeds), there is not really the need for a hobby grower who has limited indoor growing space to do this with fem stock from a seed company.

Horses for courses no one can be 100% correct in these matters , just depends how you grow, I aimed my reply at the newer grower who has limited funds and limited indoor space and I believed it to be the most pertinent reply in this regard.

If a grower has the space and ample seed reserves/money to buy lots of seeds to do the multi pot grow, then I whole-heartedly agree with you and of course if you do it and you will find those special ladies for future projects etc :)

Peace my brothers :)

OK thanks to both of you. For my breeding project its a good thing. I got the space because i will use my setup only for one kind of strain. If all is done in my New town where i live, i will start a New thread and give them a try.

If anbody has test it , please post your results.

Hi friends
test run is finished !
I found out the the strongest plant will be big and the small plants who are not so strong will died over the time of the grow. I will use these tool for my next breeding run.

Ps sorry i forgot to make some pics.
