Lighting final grow results with screw in DIY lights

Interesting setup, I'm all for diy lights. Can you link your grow journal, I took a look around but couldn't find it quickly. Would love to see that this produced.
The grow is in my sig. Let me know if you have any questions.

Agreed. I haven't searched hard, but I haven't noticed any. If you happen to find some, let us know. I could easily replace a couple of my existing bulbs, now that I realize that I have more than I need in the 2x4.

This is as close I have gotten to finding a screw in infrared light. I am working on a similar setup to yours for a 2x4

Nice find, thanks for posting it. Are you going to try a couple?

I have been digging around on the business of red and far red, and am not going to bother for this grow.

I think I will try some UVB though. It seems to cause buds to produce more THC and I assume likely other cannabinoids as well. It is possible that what we chase with this plant is largely the plant's sunscreen.

I think you will find the screw ins pretty effective. If you do a journal, please tag me, I'd like to follow how they work for you. Definitely give me a shout if you are able to get a quantum meter under your setup. Also, give me a shout any time if I can help you figure anything out about your new setup.

For now I will make one observation that you can think about. One thing that I have found about my setup is that it is a huge advantage that the doors and sides are made out of plywood thick enough to hold a wood screw. Being able to securely attach stuff like fans, filters, shelves, timers, other electric stuff, etc. to the cabinet walls and ceiling has proven to be extremely handy. If you are on the fence about whether to go with a hard side cabinet or something more like a tent, I recommend going hard side. It can still be made with a modular design that can be disassembled for storage if you want to. You could also design it to permit expansion to a 4x4 without too much trouble, something that I have been thinking about.

Good luck with it, and have fun. :pighug:

Got to do a side by sides with these. I’d love to see how your plants react.

That project, which I would love to see, needs someone growing clones, so I will have to pass. A side by side test with a couple of auto sisters from seed would not be conclusive.

Anyway, @BigSm0 good to see you back online again, I hope that you are doing ok. :pighug:
