needing some help trying to make brownies how much bud would you use for 1/4cup coconut oil? what temp do I need to hit when making the oil low on slow cooker was getting around 250.

when cooking the brownies it say 350 for 25 min is it ok to cook that high?

I like to use 7 grams for 1/4 cup oil. that will give you strong brownies.

Last batch of oil I made I used about 1 oz. and 3 cups of oil. I would guess that about a quarter oz. should give you about a cup of pretty potent oil. It keeps well and would probably be easier to make a slightly bigger batch. How long are you slow cooking it for?

Ty both for replying +rep I don't know i was doing about 30 minutes to an hour but didnt seem to work i heard you cook until it sinks? so thought maybe try that i only have 10 grams so cant do much bigger right now.

i want to see my sister but got a bad cough so thought i would try eating and see if it clears up I cant see her if im sick.

Thanks, it's the thought that counts.

That might be your problem, not cooking it long enough. I put mine in the crock pot on low and cook it for at least 12 hours. It takes time for the THC to break down and bind with the oil.

ok I'll try that if its on low it will be ok for that long? maybe add more water?

It will be fine. Just set it on low and leave it. It's oil so it won't evaporate.

should it bubble at all the edges are bubbling i dont want to lose the thc

Ty TBM it is in a slow cooker with about 1 1/2 cups of water and i did just under 1/2 cup coconut oil and 10 grams hoping it will do something it cooked about 5 houts last night on low but i wasnt sure so i shut it off for the night and turned it back on this morning hope that didn't wreck it. all the bud is still floating does it really sink once its done?

I'm a little confused as to why you added water. THC isn't water soluble so cooking it in water won't break down the THC.
