You can, I just choose not too. I don't want to stunt my plant at all when she's in her stretching stage. I don't defoliation or top or do any high stress training such as supercropping at this stage. But it's fine too if you did soon after preflowers. She will recover and grow. I just choose not to at that point cuz I don't want to slow her down at all. Low stress training is good at that point to increase yieldOops, I topped at day 16 just when preflowers were showing up... bad idea to top when preflowers show?!
