My plant just turned 4 weeks today.I went Ang got some organic fert that the npk is 5 4 5 .It says give 1 tablespoon for every square foot of canapy.this is where I'm stumped so here is a pic and maybe u can let me know about how much mine is
Nice healthy looking plant!! What medium are you growing in? I don’t get why manufacturers leave it so ambiguous sometimes. My advice would be to start at a really low dosage and watch the plant for burnt tips. If she takes that feed without burning tips then you can up the dosage a little more on the next feed.
How much do you water at one time right now? You could add a quarter tablespoon of nutes to that amount and start there.
I made a medium made of 3 parts compost,3 parts peat 2 part perlite and around 1 part top soil with worm castings.I water every 2 or 3 days with about maybe a third or half gallon. it's a 5 gallon bucket and drains well. The fert says to use 1 tablespoon for every square foot of canopy every 3to 4 weeks.
I'm totally lost as to how much I should use tyvm for any advice. Btw it's an outside plant
I doubt you will need much nutrient amendment with that mixture so just start off with a weak dosage and document it so you can reference it for a later grow.
A source of frustration. And that covers several area's of grow products. Actually, it just pisses me off. Bad enough that they up-sell their wares, but that is a consumer problem across the board.
You need to get a ph pen and a tds pen. It is very important to know the strength of your nutrients, very easy to give them to much. Early growth 200 to 450ppm’s. When they get to six weeks the. 500 to 600 ppm’s. I’m week 8, and coming into flower, when I fertigate I am at 750 ppm’s and she is healthy, green, and strong.
I'll have to look into that but to be honest all that sounded like Chinese to me.that is my very 1st try at a grow and know absolutely nothing about what to do and when to do it
You’re doing great, your plant is healthy. There will be lots of nutes between the compost and worm castings to carry the plant for awhile. If you notice the plant beginning to yellow it may be needing more nutrients. Dark green plants are getting plenty of nitrogen, yellowing plants are either lacking nitrogen or being over/under watered. Just a note to self.
A ppm or EC meter will measure the concentration of a solution, so how concentrated your feed nutrients are. If you give them too high of a concentration they will get burnt tips. Not enough nutrients and they will yellow.
A pH meter is very important for growing cannabis. In a grow like yours you want the nutrient water or plain water to be in a pH range of 6.4-6.8. This allows for nutrient uptake. If you stray too far from this range, the plant won’t take up nutrients properly and start to show deficiencies.
At this point you are doing fine so I think you have your watering volume figured out. A good way to know if they need watering is by lifting the pot and feeling how light it is. You can also dig your finger into the soil an inch or two and see how much moisture is there. If you overwater, the roots are saturated and they won’t get the oxygen they need. If you underwater, the plants dry out. You will be surprised at how much water these plants can go through when they are fully grown. Lift the pot regularly to check. I hope this helps. Good luck and good grow vibes coming your way
