So back at Christmas I won this FCE8000 for a @Marshydro Christmas giveaway and I finally got it fired up with a fresh round of little ones so time I got to journaling! Got 10gal grassroots living soil pots and each got a 10gal pot deluxe kit from blumat with an extra dripper! Finally had em all dripping yesterday so now just a matter of dialing in the flow! Got some @SuperSativaSeedClub-David beans I’m gonna be running in them! Dropped 2 each of Black Lebanon and strawberry chemdawg but haven’t moved the 2nd jiffy puck of BL over and 1 of the SC is mutated and acting wonky so may drop a replacement for it as well! :cooldance:

Last pic u can see the wonky chemdawg which is why I wanna just replace it now rather then let it grow all weird since it is def lagging behind others as is! Was 1st one up but trailing up the rear! Think I’ll just be giving them water only and I’ll pull the drippers and topdress some craft blend or something for bloom and then put the drippers back! We’ll see when the time comes how they’re doing but hoping getting just the right amount of water will help them not need to be loaded up with bottled nutes!:smokeit:

All 4 up
Coming along nicely so far! I went ahead and found day 1 pics and the left side of the tent are both 11 days today! Right half of the tent 1 is on day 2 and other has been up 6 days including several days spent in a jiffy puck before I transplanted it! :smokeit:

I had left this 2nd BL more days then I should have in a jiffy puck but since it took 9 days to stand up I had lost hope and dropped another so wanted to give it a few days before I planted this 1st one up! Still hasn’t stood up so good thing I stopped waiting on it! Also when I 1st setup my blumats I gave all the pots a heavy 1gal watering like blumat suggests so used that watering to apppy the nematodes but being so heavy 6 days later only 1 carrot had opened so turned the others up! Messed up and never really watched too closely and don’t have a good moisture meter so on 1 pot I had turned the water up too high so totally soaked the bag and had lil runoff in the tray! Luckily dialing back 1 turn was enough to shut that carrot off and I’ll decide if it needs another turn depending how soon it opens again! Luckily the other 3 seem to be working just right doing a nice slow drip that’s just enough to keep soil moist! Just need to watch for when to turn it up a notch when they start getting bigger! :pass:

Once this rain moves outta here I got a lil preportioned tea that’s basically a bag of activated compost and then some top shelf black soldier fly castings u add to brew for just the last few hours! My local organics shop gave it to me to test so gonna brew it up for my outdoor veggies and I’ll topwater some into my indoor pots to get the microbe life jumping off! Also gonna add a smidge of humic and some ful power right at the end just cuz they’ll help facilitate some nutrient uptaking for the lil ones and the fruiting veggies! Don’t need to add any amendments to the brew just yet so gonna do it just for the microbial benefits for my indoor plants! :jointman:

I probably should have said it in my initial post but I was stoned and it somehow slipped my mind so now I’ll throw it out there! ;)

I’m a cheap son of a bitch and have some green life biotics nutes I’ll be testing on my 3gal plants but since I can also use in my big pots rather then going out and buying 40gal of soil I just got 2 fresh bags of oly mountain fish compost and since each 10gal pot only had a little over 8-8.5gal of soil in each (started with 1cu ft in bag and had some compost topdressed throughout grow) so I just dumped out 2 pots at a time and then the soil from them got 1cu ft of oly compost mixed in between them, then put soil back into pot an bottom 60% I amended with craft blend and then topped pot off with the remaining soil that just had the compost! Didn’t add any rock dust or anything else since I believe craft blend has all that stuff so guess as I go if it appears to have some kinda deficiency that needs to be addressed we’ll go from there but if the craft blend has them going fine on itself and just water in the reservoir then I’ll pull the dripper chain just before I flip em and I’ll add more craft blend and fresh compost and castings over it and then replace the drippers! Not required but it’ll help get a nice even layer and can make sure it doesn’t get mounded up to where the drippers never really get it all saturated and removing the drippers will make that a non issue! :d5:

Also other thing is with these blumats once I have the drip level dialed in properly I can then topwater in teas etc without issue and just means the blumat carrots will stay closed until that feeding starts to dry out and then they’ll go right back to opening and feeding from the reservoir! They had fancy flush valve thingamajigs that are so u can run Twas or whatever thru the reservoir and then it’s made to flush any leftover out the lines so doesn’t sit going bad and so u don’t have to drain reservoir etc! Was far too fancy and more then what I wanted to learn how to operate from day 1 using these things! Just wanna get back to nice healthy plants that don’t wind up as munchkins or having deficiencies from improper watering! Almost like using earthboxes alone for several grows I really lost my touch hand watering and I tend to make it more difficult then necessary these days! :doh: :crying:

Let’s see how many names I can remember in 1 go!
@420Forever @Kyote @2budz @Dabber @Cave Dirt Cody @WildBill @Frank the Dank @Drownomatic @Tony420 @Gr33nMtNorganix @Green Hornet @Cerebral Goo @Bill.de.Cat @Suki813 @SuperSativaSeedClub_John

I’m sure there are many more that’ll come to me soon but I’ll wait til that happens! Not gonna use the cultivators tag as it tends to make people report that shit as if it’s some mortal sin! Like sheesh ignoring it would be less work then opening and reporting it but whatevs! :haha::rofl:

Super powerful light, I have the FC 8000 in my big room. There's enough cable that I was able to mount the ballast outside the room, and this has really helped keep the heat in check.
Ya I just have my driver up on top of my tent but def helps to keep the temps in the tent down! I’m gonna get me a par meter sooner then later so I can make sure I can properly dial in my DLI since I got inkbird controllers to keep my vpd dialed in! Used the Photone app with great success but for whatever reason when I upgraded from my iPhone 8+ to the 13 pro my app started reading way off! Like went from over 1000ppfd in like 70% or there abouts but was only reading like 950 on 100% on the new phone! Tried to download the app and then calibrate it on an old unused iPhone but only calibrated from 1 spot so still not reading properly! Paid like $165 to get watering setup properly so def need to just grab a meter soon as I can to get that last step setup! :thumbsup:

I just bought that app for my iphone 13. hope mine isnt way off like that. I was sick of guessing and thought maybe this will get me in the ball park.

It was def super accurate before! Hoping if I calibrate it in a few diff spots using Mars hydro par map for this light then should at least get me back in range to get reliable enough readings! Til I have $180 to spend on a par meter anyways!
