Fastbuds outdoor 2021

I would be happy with 2 lbs. I am growing 20 gorilla cookies. I am using over 100 liters of soil per plant. Hoping it will give me atleast 50 grams per plant. Trying to go kinda big
I'm sure it changes over the course of the grow, but do you have a sense of how many hours of direct sunlight your plants get?

I'm betting you get more than two pounds, your new watering capacity alone will have a huge impact. But it's always safe to have reasonable expectations, and then fun to exceed them.

58N in Scandinavia.
June 1st plant out we have sun up at 0420 and sunset at 2200. Massive amounts of sun. 17 to 18 hours of daylight. Even with my spot, and the trees that border the field. It's still an easy 10 to 12 hours direct sun.

July and August are the same. September it starts to decrease. September 1st we are down to 13 hours of daylight. Maybe I will get 8 hours. So as the plants finish flowering they will be getting oh maybe 6 to 8 hours of direct sun. But if plants are still going in September I have bigger problems. Such as rain and cold.

@Humanrob

We get nights that get down to 6 Celsius in July. We don't have consistent temperatures above 12 Celsius, at night, until the last week of June. Cold temperatures are my biggest concern at 58N. And rain when plants are flowering.

I'm in a similar position season and weather-wise, but yours seems more challenging. From the times I tried putting them out earlier, I learned that cold nights can slow down their growth, even stunt some plants. Some strains were more impacted than others. It's always surprising to me how two different strains can be next to each other and one will get mold and another won't.

That's the enemy here in the PNW/US, and why I switched to all autos for my outdoor. We generally have a dry summer and a wet fall.

Are hoop houses an option? Hard for me to imagine the logistics of them in your spot. Sometimes just putting up hoops covered in plastic with open ends and sides and just a top cover can save a lot of plants. As long as it's not too windy.

I could get hoop houses to my spot but I think they would get spotted at some point. And wind is pretty bad around here. So not sure that would work.

Looks like an excellent set up, I'm sure you'll have a great season.

Personally, I'd avoid planting only one strain. In terms of ecosystem resilience, one of the core tenants is diversity. Not sure if that's helpful at this point, sounds like you've got your seeds and are committed, and I'm sure it'll turn out fine. I've only read/seen great reviews of Gorilla Cookies, picked up some of those seeds myself. Just something to think about down the road. At least with FastBuds, they tend to have some pheno diversity built in, so that could be a good thing in this case.

I should have got a couple different strains. But I purchased seeds at the pre-season sale they had, so It was buy 10 get 10 free.

Last year we had nothing but cloudy and rainy weather during flower. Horrible weather. I hope this year is better!

Doing some no "transplant shock" containers from solo cups.

Seen the thread on here.

My grow bro has decided not to grow with me for the summer. He will take his share of the seeds.

He has been to my grow site. Should I continue ahead with my plans and grow 10 plants, or ditch the site? I have a lot money into dirt and supplies.

Common sense tells me to abandon it but I kind of feel like I can trust him. Hard decision. I have had this spot for over 5 years. Just another life lesson, to team up when growing.

What was his reason ? Kind if a dick move if you ask me. Maybe go with the site but don't do all 10 pants and find a 2nd site and put like 3 or 4 there just incase.
