Seeing all these nice plants you grow in coco is making me want to try it. I recently pulled out my meters and calibrated them, good to go there. I looked for some last weekend at the nursery but they don't carry it, so I'm going to order some. Is coco all the same? One brand better than the other? It's sold by weight on amazon, how much is required to fill a 3 or 5 gallon pot? Does it settle much in the pot like soil does?thanks man, im really excited to see these 2 when their done!
i would say go for it man, as long as you can maintain proper PH coco is great! i used and will continue to use Botanicare Coco Grow. and no some coco is washed and buffered and some isnt like the reptile bedding which requires more work.. i havent tried any other brands of coco. i got a 5kg brick i believe it was and it made proly made 8 3gal pots so far and i still proly got enough for maybe 2 pots. now i dont use straight coco mind you i have been adding 20-30%perlite and 25% jiffy seedling starting mix which is pretty much just peat and perlite. and yes coco does settle pretty good i kinda pack it in there compared to soil because its still got plenty of O2 in the substrate and the roots can just glide through it especially with the added perlite. if you have any other ? just ask brotha!Seeing all these nice plants you grow in coco is making me want to try it. no they are in coco with added perlite so it basically impossible to over water them at this stage... ill get some better pics for you all quick but its definitely Nitrogen Toxicity.....mmm we'll have to take a better look but they seem fine... overwatered maybe? ....
