Fast Buds Fast Buds Spring 2022 Grow & Show

On the right is FBT2201 and on the left, Trainwreck. I'm excited about Trainwreck because of all I've heard about it. FBT2201 is in many ways very exciting because I have no idea what it is.

Got the seeds yesterday and put one of each to soak this morning in a mixture of well water and dried green coconut milk from Buildasoil. We're in the middle of a brutal cold snap and although my house is warm, it can be drafty. So I put it on the top of an entertainment center where it will be hidden and high and covered it with a baggy to protect it from drafts.

Data: I'm not a sophisticated grower and don't measure PH or PPM. I don't like to even measure out nutes, but I do because it's necessary. I like to keep it simple. So my yield might not be as high as the really experienced growers who care enough to push the plant to its full potential but I usually have happy, healthy plants.

The Eagle has landed deep in the frozen Virginia Mountains. I received my package from Spain today. I received the FBT2201 tester package, a bonus package of Strawberry Banana, a nice sticker and a freebie Russell Crow movie :jointman:
Thank you very much @Fast Buds Heather . I will start the pre-soak period at 1pm EST.

It is called having a "Green Thumb" some people are in tune with plants. I have seen it in many vegetable farmers.

So I soaked the seeds all day and this evening, put them in pods and stuck the pods in 2L pots.

I watered the pots to saturation and covered them with disposable tumblers.

The water in the wells is no longer there - I dumped it in a more thirsty plant. In case anyone is wondering why I gave them so much water, this is a dry climate, they're in breathable media and by tomorrow the moisture level will be perfect.

I have never overwatered a plant indoors, though when trying an outdoor grow last summer the plants stayed in a perpetual state of oversaturation because of an unseasonably cold and wet summer (like I've never seen before).

I live at 7500' elevation though and anything is possible.

So pods=riots & tumblers=plastic solo cups? :crying: I think it so awesome to belong to this site. All of us from different parts of the country/world call things by different names, I love it!! (AKA....a Submarine sandwich or Hogie in my Boston accent is called a "Grindahh"...LOL)
Wow, you are up in there sweetie. Does that elevation affect cooking/baking at all? I believe my town is about 550'.

I realized that I use the word, "nutes" all the time. That grindah sounds good to me!

This elevation does affect baking. It throws off all the numbers but after a few years I figured it out. When recipes specify a range of time (bake at 350 for 12-18 minutes) you always pick the longest time in the range (18).

Pre soaked both FBT 2201 seeds from 2/5/22 1pm-1am 2/6/22 (12 hours).

Had one seed much larger than the other, will call it FBT 2201 #1, smaller will be FBT 2201 #2 for clarity.
They both went into seed pods in a base mixture of Fox Farms Happy Frog soil, worm casting were added about 3” under soil surface.

covered in a clear dome.
They spent the night on a seedling mat, covered with a bucket and temperature/humidity levels were stable.
