@Twofoot It is better to use auto pollen on a photo bud. It is up to you if you want to use Fem pollen or not. If you are making Colloidal silver and reversing a female to get fem pollen then that is ok to do but you will have to make new CS each time you want to breed. You will usually not have any autos in the F1 offspring but you will see about 25% autos in the F2 generation. The only reason to backcross would be either to get more desired traits from one of the two parents or if for some reason you do not get any autos in the F2 batch. I hope that helps, Good luck with your breeding, and let me know if you have any other questions.

@doobie lol I've always said we need "scent links" on this site

A little help please..
I have decided to make a DIY co2 generator. I have yeast packets and sugar. How much yeast and how much sugar for a 6' x 2.5' x 7' high closet. here is a pic of the generator and the closet is a few posts back in the video.

my room does not have enough ventilation and this I feel is a must do so Thanks in advance for any help.

I used a cup of sugar to a tablespoon of yeast.
Remember to seal your cab, or its a waste.
It will make your grow smell like a brewery when its strong Enuff...

I use a 5 gallon bucket with a lid, it takes a full 5 pound bag of sugar and 1 packet of yeast.....this is my own recipe....it stinks to hell and back of "homebrew alcohol" when it starts to use up the sugar....but it puts out a steady stream of co2 for a week straight...I hang the hose high and let it float down on the girls..
with 3 bottles holding solution ..I would try a pound of sugar in each and split 1 packet of yeast between the 3....bubbles away!!

If I have a small gap at the top of my door about an inch is that bad? I figured its ok because co2 sinks to the floor and not much air if any gets past the mylar to go through the crack

Just found this Evol.

Small and simple
For those of you running smaller systems such as cupboard, closet or ?box? systems, there is a simple CO2 system that is easy to make and use. This system uses water, sugar and yeast mixed together in a jug, bottle or jar. I like to use one-gallon plastic jugs due to their size and availability.
Put about five or six cups of sugar in a clean one-gallon plastic jug. To this add about a half gallon of water. Mix until the sugar is dissolved and add a little bit of active yeast. Poke a small hole in the lid and replace it on top of the jug. Once a day, or as often as possible, shake the jug to thoroughly mix the contents. In a day or two the yeast will begin to grow and CO2 gas will be a by-product in the jug.
Once the yeast begins to grow, the shaking of the contents will produce a gaseous eruption through the hole in the lid. On its own, the device will slowly produce CO2 as long as there is enough sugar in the mix and the yeast stays active. The daily shaking stimulates the mix to produce a surge of CO2 gas. Therefore, the more times the jug is shaken, the more surges of CO2 that will erupt into the room. The mix will need to be changed or refreshed every two to three weeks. I have found this system to be more than adequate and perfectly safe for smaller grow spaces (twenty square feet or less). It is also very inexpensive to configure and maintain.

I'm definately gonna take advantage of this method. Nice one dude

I shouldn't think it's much of a problem, levels won't be high enough to be toxic to you and as you say Co2 is heavier than oxygen so it should just rain down on the plants and not have a chance to escape through anywhere high up.

I have made 2 of them 1gal..the way from the net is slow bubbles..thats mostly what the clear ones are for is to see if its working and its rate also something about removing alcohol .I only used 2 bottles ..one mix one water ..Just secure it to the tent or fixture GOOD as mine fell on my plant and smashed it :face:a few days ago.
