Really I put a lot of thought into that ph and tested other ranges, My idea using anything over 6.0ph is if the plant goes off a bit, 6.0 already on the high end for hydro and people kinda treat coco as a soil and it's basically like using hydro except ya have a nice buffer to work with..anyways.. if ph starting off already over 6.0 and goes off just a tad, if ya look at a hydro chart you'd see most nutrients unable be taken in at that ph in hydro, same if drops lower.. so I think 5.98 gives ya a tad bit flexibility to allow minor changes without the impact.. it works for me anyways, am sure for you it will too! Just be sure ph each and every feeding/watering to 5.98 until harvest day & I'm 100% confident you'll do fine! I think reason people kinda run on high end with coco, because of charts they looking at or something and seeing calmag not taken in under 6.0, problem with that theory is that your handling the calmag part, so that chart is off....Yes
I am getting 5.98 ph now
