Grow Mediums Eight Pot Auto Pot, All Organic Grow: Pop22's Blue Dragon

I'll lower them to about 24" for flower. I'll also be adding a potentiometer so that I can dim the lights instead of raising and lowering them. Then I'll try to keep them at 24". I haven't done this as I shake so bad I can't solder anymore. I found pre-wired pots at rapidled. I'll use Wagos to connect the pot.

I really like the wagos, so much easier to make connections. Do you have a meter to also be wired in to see how hard they are driven? I think i need one for my light because I have no idea how hard they are being driven.

I use a watt meter, similar to the Kilawatt meter. I just plug into it when I want to make adjustments.

Its ok, all I care is to regulate by the total power consumption, its really immaterial which you use to regulate light level, your doing the same thing either way. I know people get caught up in the technical aspects, and that's fine while building a light. For me, once the light is built all I care is I can adjust the light levels. I just want to grow weed! Like adjusting a toaster....lighter or darker lol! I bought a DC ammeter but could care less about using it.
I figure in the driver losses when stating per board power level. Am I being dead accurate? no I am not. Am I close enough for it not to mater, i think so.
If we were being technical, then the right way would be by using a quantum light meter.
However, if anyone would like to know the amperage of the DC side at the current setting, I'll gladly hook up my multi-meter and check it.

This is not good measurment, @pop22. I have 220W COBs, but my "kill-a-watt" meter reads 280W (MW driver at 94% efficiency).
AC and DC sides are not equal, so it's best to get multimeter and measure at DC side.

Totally agree.
Sorry if I sound rude, english is not my first language.

Btw, which heatsinks do you use? And fans on it? How's temp? I will buy 100-150W board for my veg tent, I just don't know yet which one because I am from EU. Maybe I will build it myself.

Its ok, I don't find you rude! Your trying to point out that my method is not the most accurate, and I agree. I just don't feel its needed for the way I regulate my lights, however, your method is just as valid, so its a choice.

I'm using Slate 2 heatsinks, not fans blowing on or even near the heatsinks of the QB lights. Temps on the boards is 105F (40.5C )
email HLG, they'll get you a shipping quote, they try to get good shipping rates.
