Indoor Ebb and Flow Grow Journal (FireOG, PurplePunch)

So it’s been a few years since I’ve been on here and have finally taken the plunge of starting a new grow and I want to share it on here. These are not Auto flowers so I hope I’m posting in the correct thread. I started off by purchasing a 5x5 tent wanting to run a 4x4 ebb and flow tray but began to have several issues controlling the environment. I went a little overboard and decided to blow out my entire extra bedroom adding in two 4x4 tray stands and 4 315w cmh’s. In the past I’ve done dwc systems and I wanted to try something new so I purchased trays for the first time and drilled some holes for a nice flood and drain system. I’m running one bed with a 20 gallon res and another with a 40 so I don’t have issues making so much RO water. I also never purchased clones before but with relocating to California recently it seemed like the easiest way to start. I have 25 Fire Ogs and 25 purple punches going, I wasn’t so sure what to feed so I did a light feeding upon transplanting (300ppm) and have been letting these girls relax on Day 2 today with no feed. Climate has been decent at around 70-74 degrees and 60% humidity roughly. Let me know what you guys think, I love advice especially regarding the early stages of feeding clones and any tips on ebb and flow hydroponics . I’ll share some photos below and look forward to sharing my progress with y’all

I just started to play with ebb and flow too. I'm doing a DIY version with a mix of autos and photos, I'm liking it so far. Going to build another table I liked it so much! Hope you have good luck with your system bro, hope to see more of it!

Looking like a good start @toematoe, I like the 315s as well. Where the clones from? Dark Heart nursery ? If so, I was just puffing their cut of Purple Punch and it's a nice strain. yields nice frosty buds. I'm pulling up a chair.

I wish haha those weren’t in my budget but they’ve been in my radar. I purchased these off some lady in Orange County found her on google , had good reviews and half the price of dark heart but I’m starting to see the difference, these purple punches are really stressed I hope they pull through , the fire ogs are taking to the cubes better

I see, They look healthy to me. I just get scared of pest when dealing with clones from others. So how long till you flip them to12/12?

I’ve seen good reviews in that sense from these people not the strongest clones like dark hearts but they will do . I don’t really know yet gonna let them go a little longer then split them up into their own trays. I have 25 and 25 I was only gonna do 16 and 16 but wouldn’t hurt to maybe pick up a couple weaker ones in the next few weeks so the trays don’t get too crowded. I want to have quick rotations so hopefully just a few weeks of veg. I intend to get a tent going in the garage I have a 5x5 and get going on that a few weeks after switch.

Quick update. Onto Day 14 I believe today of these girls. Been struggling a bit with the condition these clones came in , PM and now today I confirmed fungus gnats. I’ve been spraying neem for the past week every 3 days . PM has gone away . I only had one clone with some possible spores and she wasn’t a performer anyways so I scrapped her along with 3 others. Have to gradually make space in the beds as I started with 50 and only intended of doing about 16 per bed. I spotted a larvae today and killed off that clone , I will continue spraying neem every 3 days until I don’t see any new signs. Also ordered some sticky traps to monitor them a bit if they do decide to come back. Going to back down to neem once a week hopefully soon as I see them pull through. Majority of these issues were with my purple punches though I’ve been treating the whole room just in case things spread. The Fire Ogs on the contrary have had great progress, they were starving for nutes so some of the lower foliage got burnt a bit but started them on PPM 600 of emerald harvest, using their full 3 part line and they are exploding. Great fresh new foliage and great roots poking out of the bottom of these cubes so I’m very confident I nurtured enough clones back to health to get this back on track .
