Hello,

first time poster here!

I’ve looked all over and have not found an example of someone trying to run 4 autos in one box. Anyone on here try this? If so, how did it go?

Maybe if they are very small strains, but plants like to grow big in earth boxes, especially with good soil. I would recommend no more than two plants.

I've run 2 in a 27 gal and they were too crowded. I suppose 2 without any topping could work in a regular eb but not a jr
Pic is of one Green Crack in 27 gal tote sip. Topped and lst

If I were to grow multi-plants in a Regular EB, it would be only two SMALL girls placed on the ends. ........obviously to fit, but mainly because the wicking sections are on the ends.
Personally, I wouldn't do it. I'd run them in Jrs if I was running smaller growing girls.

Okay, thank you! Is this only due to the wicking? The reason I ask is because Mephisto recommends 3g pots so I figure with 15g box we’re more than enough.

Curious to hear your thoughts.

But how far apart do they suggest spacing those pots? Most I've seen is 2' apart. Then how are you gonna grow? If you're thinking living soil, most folks recommend a 10-15 gal pot.

I think any more than two, they'd fight over the water, with the outer two getting the lion share. I think the outer two would overshadow the other two by the beginning of flower. I think the end plants will establish their roots in the wicking area naturally first and prevent, for the most part, the inner two from establishing roots in that area.

Well damn, I don’t know what to do. I currently have 4 autos in it placed in the pattern Earth Box recommended. Don’t know if I should yank two or be the test dummy and see what happens while documenting it here.

Using a fairly premium setup under a Chilled Growcraft light.

Do ya have other pots/bags? If ya do and have the room, just move them. I'd let them develop a bit to get some roots under them. Have your other pots ready with holes and some mycos sprinkled in the hole or watered in if you have soluble mycos. Water the area around the seedling to help bind the media, Just place each hand a few inches either side of the seedling, bury our fingers up to your knuckles at an angle, squish the media together a bit and pick it up and place in the new pot. Slightly pack it down to get good contact.
I'd do it at 10-14 days, depending on development. Sure they might stall a bit for a couple of days, but most are resilient enough to recover fairly quickly.
Just move the inner ones.
