Grow Room E-40 socket

I got a cheap light kit, it has a reflector, E-40 socket, and a ballast.. When it arrived it had no instructions..

I know I need an earth going from the ballast to the mains, but do I need to have an earth going from the ballast to the E-40 socket or reflector?

do i fix it to the reflector?
or
the E-40 socket?

i cannot see any place designed for me to add the wire to on either the E-40 or reflector..

You could google search for the instructions. I have done that alot even youtube sometimes has it.

In the end I figured I would just attached it to the fittings for the bulb and reflector.
