2012 wasa truly great year for AutoFem seeds, and for Dutch Passion it was a genuinepleasure to be part of the Autoflower network where there are some of the mostpassionate and skilled AutoFem growers. In the last year AutoFem’s in general have continued to improve to thepoint where the quality level of pot grown from an auto is on a par with thatgrown from a quality traditional variety. And as everyone on AFN knows, the yields achievable from auto’s caneasily surpass that from a traditional variety.
Before Isay who the winners of our 2012 diary competition are I should say that so faras Dutch Passion are concerned, weed growing is of course not acompetition. All that really matters isthat the self sufficient grower can grow enough medical or recreational pot fortheir own use. The competition is fun,not something to take too seriously.
Judgingwasn’t easy, as there were plenty of really good grow diaries. We gave first place based on some epic growsthat have pushed back people’s belief about what auto’s can do. SeymoursBuds has been a high profile grower who has shown people the potential ofauto’s is beyond what many thought was possible. He has grown several Dutch Passion varietiesand always had our team looking on in envy and pride, his control ofdeep-water-culture is remarkable and he connects with his plants like a pro andoptimises nutrient delivery according to the plant needs. For his work at the heart of AutoFem’s,Seymour Buds gets first prize and an e-voucher for €250 for our webshop. All his grows have been special and it ishard to single any particular grow out. He is an all round top dude.
Secondprize goes to JTang, he has shown that AutoFem’s can also achieve very specialresults in soil. His AutoXtreme grow wasa beauty, and the ability to pull the very best from our genetics is down tothe way he combines his green fingers with a growroom that combines the best ofsome good technologies such as his airpots and his skilled use of LED’s. JTang gets an e-voucer for €150 to spend
Thirdprize goes to another talented grower, and a man who puts a lot of time intothe AFN website, Insert. His original grow of Tundra really caught ourattention and so did all the other diaries he ran. I cant wait to see how he performs with hisnew mega LED system. Insert has beenanother of those talented growers who is happy to share his knowledge to helpothers fill their own jars. an e-voucher of €75 goes to Insert
Of course I could easily have mentioned at least another dozen top quality growers that we think are all supremely skilled so please remember that choosing winners from such a talented array of growers is not easy.
well done to everyone who enjoyed growing our genetics last year!
