This weeks Dutch Passion blog is the announcement of our plans to work together with the afore-mentioned team to create CBD-rich versions of some of our varieties. At the moment this refers to traditional 'photoperiod' vareties which produce THC and CBD in roughly equal quantities.

We hope this will be of major value to medical users/growers and hope for seed availability after the summer. Seeds will be available from us directly or the normal distribution channels. Here is the initial information

i read something about cbd crew (one is mr. nice guy right?) and is a good project.
Which varieties DP is going to work? and how high is the CBD\THC?

Hello Red Bulls, yes the partners for us here are the CBD-Crew, Howard Marks - Mr Nice.

It is a little too early to say which Dutch Passion varieties we are making in high CBD versions. As soon as I can say more I will. We hope that the CBD varieties will produce up to 10%-11% of THC and the same in CBD.

We hope to have the CBD varieties for sale around September, in the meantime we are working with a couple of european medical grow cooperatives to do some test grows in the meantime

i remender to see mr. nice talk about the project cbd crew and he said that they are triyng to procude 18% to 21% of cbd with the same THC.

At the side of the auto trend this is a new interesting development in the cannabis world. If I got it correct, the idea with these strains isn't to produce a psychoactive reaction, but just simply getting the "good" medical effects. My knowledge is very limited on this, but is this really possible to achieve in a complete sense? It would be very nice if we in the future are able to tailor our strains so they can fit any circumstance. After all, many of the effects from cannabis aren't that practical in some situations - at least not for inexperienced users! I'm really looking forward to see what this will produce...

any news or updates on the cbd project? love to see this kind of research going on i grow for my wife's medicine and high CBD is what she needs. kinda surprised they aren't doing autos from the start thou aren't autoflowering varieties naturally higher in CBD?

Hello Prez, work is ongoing here. It is new and there is a lot to learn, who knows where it will end ! We hope that the final varieties should have very rich CBD levels which is one thing we get lots of med growers wanting. I hope we get seeds avalable for release later in the year.
