@912GreenSkell i believe DJ said it helped bring out more phenotypic expression. So just another thing we can use like lowering temps towards the end of flower to attempt to replicate mother nature. He didnt specifically say always 11/13 he said that is a good point to start though and to try changing it in small 15-30min (not sure exactly) increments and find out what is best for different strains.
I will hopefully be able to test this in side by side tests one day.
There is a long post dj wrote about growing and breeding somewhere on the internet that talks about it. If its not against the rules i will find it and post a link here.

Here we have my first photoperiod grow:smoking:

Day 53 of 12/12 under a 100w spectrum king closet case in a 2x2 tent.
I think they will go 60-70 days.
This is also a resistance test because rh is 60-70%
Im not too worried because i believe i have good airflow. One clip on blowing down onto the canopy and one underneath blowing up into. Also vortex fan for exhaust with passive intake below the canopy.
Both plants took their fair share of lst and pinching(supercropping is the term i think) very well.

Im very excited to see how this strain is for daytime/work.
Smells of lemon, pine, and a little sour fruit in flower right now, taking a close sniff, without touching the plant. This one stinks more than the blueberry i think.
Lemon/pine scent was noticeable from rubbing the stems since early veg. Its awesome.
Very nice looking plant hasnt wanted for much the whole grow.
It started in a one liter airpot of roots organic then i transplanted into a 2 gal fabric pot of gbd soil.

My favorite bud i ever had was a 7g bag of blueberry in 2010 that was super strong smelling of dank sweet blueberry muffins.
I would like to find that pheno and hold onto it.
I feel very lucky so far because this is the first of 13 reg dj bb beans i popped and i got a female with many traits that ive read are in the good phenos.
Purple and hollow stems, variegation, slightly twised leaves, vigorous growth, light feeder/nute sensitive.
There were nice berry scents in veg rubbing stems and now if i rub a frosted fan leaf it smells of sweet blueberry candy or something i think.
This one was started in a half gallon fabric pot of roots organics then transplanted on top of a one gal fabric pot of gbd soil. I have been trying to feed a little here and there but its not really a hungry strain and it seems sensitive to nutes as you can see by the tips. Its starting to fade now i think i will water only with mammoth p and recharge until harvest.

Im going to tag a few people i think will be interested in seeing this
