New Grower DP AutoXtreme, AutoUltimate and one Automazar grow

@Pal23 thanks mate, as i said before - greenminded people are one of the friendliest people around :)

I concur on the statement, that 4 units would be good, BUT for 375£ each.. 1500£ per cabinet. That is not cool.

PS! when i ordered the GN lights, there were no options on diffusers yet. So i would have to buy 2 more or order another 2 lights.

Very true! Yeah 1500 per cab is a bit steep I will admit :D You do get a lot of tech for your money though! I just love GN, I bought their old modular series when I started growing and they've paid for themselves, couple that with great customer service and I don't mind shelling out the extra cash. Hopefully in the coming months I'll be able to afford 4 units for my 1.2m tent so we'll have to see how I get on :D Will be following your thread in the meantime of course :pass:

Also on the diffuser note, that's a shame they weren't available when you bought your units as now you get the option of three when you purchase a light. I think they're in the process of releasing all these bits of kit on their own too so hopefully you'll be able to just order diffusers from the website direct. Maybe try contacting GN about it, they might be able to shed more light on the situation (no pun intended) :peace:

@Pal23 Evening mate!

I loved the idea of low wattage and good yields, BUT in the end of the day you need to think about PAR, cause thats what it is all about. So you can grow monsters - the more green leaves to photosynthesize the more energy they produce.

When i measured the PAR of GN light i started to get worried.

I'll have to take your word for it on the PAR front, I barely understand what it means let alone knowing how to measure it :D as long as I can keep improving my personal best on yield I'll be happy with the HS1's
:pass:

p.s which strain is your fave out of the three so far?

Listen mate, growing is an art and whatever the yield, eventually it is all about the love for the plants. The relationship (3-4 months) is very personal and deep. Every serious grower knows their plants and their likes/dislikes. So just enjoy the wonder of nature come alive before your eyes and just be happy ;)

I will upgrade my "parmeter" to a professional one, then i will be keeping track of the PAR measurements too, when running next comparison grow.

Strain wise, i havent grown them before but my wife really likes the AutoXtremes smell. It reminds her of strawberries :)

I'll smoke to that :pass:

I promised to someone here (@redrobbo ) to post the final size of the plants.:pass:

AX = AutoXtreme
AU = AutoUltimate

GN cab:
1) AX 124 cm
2) AX 97 cm
3) AU 87 cm
4) AU 97 cm

Mars Hydro cab:
1) AX 82 cm
2) AX 137 cm
3) AU 93 cm
4) AU 81 cm

Hans LED cab:
1) AX 133 cm
2) AX 131 cm
3) AU 86 cm
4) AU 103 cm

In conclusion: AU tends to be shorter, ca 90-100 cm. And AX is a beast, 100+ cm.

Pulled back on the nutes today, started to see burned tips, just gave RO with enzymes and Bud Candy and Nirvana (bloom booster), final EC 0,3. Will see how they react - when to start feeding them again.

Next time when i will grow AX i will definitely try to go with 1 plant per cabinet and give her Marst Hydro on top and Hans LED-s on the side. They should grow monstrous. Four AU would fit nicely in 1,2x1,2 cabinet, if the phenos are the same (short and stocky).
