Hi everyone!

Apologies for going AWOL for a year, family drama meant something had to give, and unfortunately I really cant afford to drop the job just yet.

Cheers to @2Stoned2Care and @Slater for the lovely warm welcome on the intro thread.

Anyways, I'm back now! Really looking forward to having a look at what everyone has been up to. Gearing up for the new year I'm firing up the tent again after a couple of months off. Running Auto Xtreme which I've been meaning to give a test run for ages, and Auto Blackberry Kush which my last run of which produced bud that smells like ribena, and that cant be a bad thing.

Setup wise my HS1 unfortunately upped and died after a 18 months near continual service, and as this was mid grow I just bought myself a new mars panel to replace it next day rather than deal with it. So I'm now running two reflectors (96 and 48) which seem to be doing an ok job in my small tent (0.75m sq and 1.5m h). I'm now using smaller pots so I can cycle my grows better and get more grows in. So I'm starting with two and will start another two once these ladies are fattening up.

I'm growing in 50% allmix and 50% coir. This all started because I accidentally bought a sack of allmix and needed to water it down and figured coir would avoid adding any more N. But I've found the coir helps with water retention and aeration compared to plain soil so I'm planning to stick with it for a while at least.

Few Photos of set up:

Seeds on to soak:

Mixing the allmix and coir:

Smaller pots from local store, probably about 8L:

Gave the pots a good soak with the hose then in to warm for a few hours before popping the seeds in and covering with clingfilm:

Then into the tent where the lights, dark soil and clingfilm keep everything nice and warm and damp:

Only got the 96 on at the moment, will fire up the 48 in a bit.

Now we wait...

Subbing up dude. Nice set up, very similar to mine. I also have those 2 Mars lights with a Mars 600w classic, I used the 96 and the 600w on my last grow and they did me did me proud.

Cheers, good to have you along.

I'll have to pop by and see what you're up to, nice to see another grow under similar lights

Hey, how's it going? Still producing trees in that huge tent of yours?

The cable debacle was mostly my fault for putting in the return package! That and UPS playing silly buggers. But yeah that was after the cooling system fell over. I'm sure GN would sort it, they've always been brilliant on that front. But to be honest I no longer have room for the light. It was quicker to get a new light delivered the next day rather than trying to work out if a 18 month old light was in warranty and arranging returns etc. And I've been very time poor this year to be honest.

Good to see you around Derek, and tell me about family dramas! Definitely contact GN bro would be nice to see an HS1 in your tent. [emoji7]

GN should sort you out with a courier. Returns couldn't be easier and there's always room for an HS1 look at my closet set up. Laters

Hey, thanks for stopping by! I'll be over to see how your setup is going in a sec. I do love the HS1, but to be honest, having replaced it with a bigger light, it doesn't seem worth anyone going to the expense and bother of fixing it just so I can slightly improve my lighting and have a spare kicking about. I got a good few great grows out of it, it's 2 years old, I'm not complaining :smoking:
