New Grower Does anyone here heat cure (a.k.a. decarboxylate) their smoke?

I just hung my first harvest, and I want to treat it right. Once its dry to the touch, I need to put it in a mason jar, and air it out a couple times a day for a week(?) and then it can be sealed, right? Also, the guys at CCM all seem to bake their buds in the oven at 250F for 45 min to decarboxylate it. Apparently, it changes some chemicals into substances that can be exploited by our bodies that would otherwise be wasted. Ill love to hear from those who do it, and how and why they do...

My resolution is to change as many closed minds as I can in regards to the wonders of autoflowering MJ. Especially, AFN autos!

batz, i thought that decarbing was only for edibles and tinctures? i read that thread too! if your smoking it decarbs in the process of smoking.

Heard of it but whats the use if your just going to burn it anyway? My understanding was that smoking or vaping decarboxylates. If cooking with yer weed then it might be a good idea if your not using high temps while cooking.
