I am growing autos with biotabs that are organic dry amendments. I plan to run them with autopots with only tap water in the reservoir. I have some coconut water powder from buildasoil. I was planning to only give the coconut water by hand 1 time per week when I do real growers recharge though I have been wondering if it would be a good idea to add the coconut water powder to the reservoir and give it coconut water with every watering or maybe even do the 1 time per week watering with recharge with no coconut water to give a 1 day break each week on there.

What do you think? Do you run coconut water in the reservoir? I have drip clean that I can use if it is needed to keep the lines free of clogs on there. If you do run it in the reservoir do you do the full amount or like 1/2 of the recommended amount that is detailed on the bag for it on there?

I would not recommend adding coconut water to a res. Depending on how long it takes for the res to empty, the coconut water can go bad while sitting in the res. It goes bad pretty quickly. It can also cause clogs if the powder separates. I know ypu said you have drip clean, but there is no way to prevent clogging if caused by separation. I would also not recommend adding any kind of powder into the res for that reason... If you do.. At least test it first.. Pour a glass of water.. Add a light spoonful of coconut powder.. Mix it up.. Let it sit for 12 hours.. After 12 hours, if the powder is sitting at the bottom of the glass, it will do the same thing in the res, and I would not use it in the res. If nothing is at the bottom of the glass, it's fine to use in a res.. Im still not sure why you are wanting to add recharge when bactrex is the exact same thing. I would do one or the other.. Not both. I also recommend following the directions on the bio tabs.. It says its water only. It says plain tap water is fine, no ph needed.. Just try to follow the directions until you grow your 1st healthy plant.. Then you can start experimenting and adding things in. Keep it simple as possible you learn!

Thanks. I think I will only do it 1 time per week and not put it in the reservoir. It is a very small addition and from what I have read online I doubt the little bit of coconut water I give the plants 1 time per week would be enough to make problems. I do plan to keep it easy on there.

Ok.. Just keep in mind that coconut water is high in potassium.. It also has a good amount of calcium and magnesium in it. You may think it's just a small addition, but it's the plants that will decide that. Please remember, that too much of one nutrient will lock out others making them unavailable to the plant. Please look at this chart.. Notice the nutrients that will become locked out if there is too much potassium. Not to mention the bactrex or recharge that will make all of the NPK nutrients even more available.. Then the bio tabs are going to release even more NPK.. It doesn't take much to cause a lock out.. Yet they are really hard to pinpoint and fix..

You've asked about water only grows a few times.. Bio Tabs is exactly that. The kit has everything you will need to grow a plant. There is no guarantee as to what will happen when you add things to it. Beware.

Thanks. I am planning to do 2 plants with 1 getting the recharge on off weeks from bactrex and 1 that does not and then see how it works on there. I have been reading grow journals of people using biotabs and many of them supplement something in for calmag from what I have read. I do not want to use calmag. I am growing under quantum board led which from many things I have read online make you need more calmag. I am hoping that the 1 time per week coconut water helps with that with the different benefits of the coconut water. It also looks like many use a pk booster when they run biotabs. I do not have the biotabs pk boost. I will watch for deficiencies. In most of the grow journals that I have read that people used biotabs they were using orgatrex with it and I do not have orgatrex. I think that makes up for a lot of the things people may need to add to it. In the grow journals I have read very few have not added different things to the biotabs line. If I was using the orgatrex I would think it would be different. I will work to make it easy for it on there.

It's not deficiencies that you have to worry about... It's lock out.. But I will just watch from a distance and hope that all of your grows from here on out go very well. Good luck!

Thanks. I do thank you for trying to help with the plants on there.
