Im curious to know if a smaller auto such as a dwarf would finish faster then a larger auto such as think different.. I know if you were to grow in smaller pots rather then larger ones they will flower sooner. So I wonder a plant that is 6 inches tall would the flowering time be as long as a larger plant that is say 15 inches tall?:shrug:

I think its rather hard to answer your question and give an exact answer. Strains in general have a guide line on when you can expect them to finish out. For instance right now i have a diesel auto that was started the same time as a another auto called Blue Deisel. The blue deisle is about 8 inches tall and has another 2 weeks to finish. The Regular diesel auto that i have is about 2 foot tall and is coming down today.

I highly doubt plant height can determine the time it takes to finish out.

Hope this helps

If you plant in smaller pots they will finish quicker than larger ones.... so in a way yes...they will finish a bit faster.. only bc the roots will fill a smaller pot quicker than a large one...

Thanks for this info! When you say they will finish faster, do you mean from seed to harvest?

I dont know where you guys got the idea of smaller pots make it flower sooner but thats wrong lol

LoL yea i highly doubt a smaller pot is going to force a plant to bud sooner and finish out, not going to happen

I've had 3 inch plants yield 4 grams.. know how long they took? 75 days. They don't finish any faster at all.

What determines how fast the plant will finish is it's lineage, if it's an early sexing indica crossed with a fast AF, it'll finish fast.
If it's a sativa or late sexing indy crossed with a fast AF, it'll finish 80-90 days..
If it's a sativa crossed with a potent, not so fast AF, it'll finish in 100-120 days..

These are all "typical" scenarios, and other things play a role in the finishing time - but not the "dwarf" gene...

I know that you cant enduce flowering faster at least with autos... But wont the plant mature at a greater rate in smaller pot... and when i mean mature at greater rate.. start really putting more energy in to veg faster bc its roots will be done stretching out before a plant in a larger size container? If this is wrong than I read wrong info lol :smokebuds:

I've read this same exact thing on this site.
