Ok let me first start with some background.

Its been a long time since my last grow, several years. Back when I was in FL growing indoors, in a tent, in a closet, of course I needed an inline to vent out the hot air coming from my 600W HPS, and a carbon filter to make sure everyone and their mothers didn't know there was a grow nextdoor.

Fast forward, I live in north cali in the bay area (+10 for legal states); I have a small 4x2 tent setup in the garage growing some clones I picked up from the dispensary while I wait for my auto seeds to arrive. (Side note anyone have any exp with greybeards?) I am using a Mars Hydro TS1000, and have a second light coming. (We grow food along with weed....COVID project, so getting a second tent/light for flowering)

My question is, my LEDs keep temps way down, and my garage really doesn't get that hot where we are in the bay area. Outside the heatwaves that took place over the past few days, the tent and our garage stays pretty cool. So do I really need an inline to vent out the air in the tent? I have 3 fans inside moving the air around.

As long as you have good airflow, and a decent exchange with air outside the tent.

Am below Sacramento some, and have a 4x4 in a spare room. Never run the extractor, the door is always open.
Running photos though I will have the tent shut for lights out, and will have the extraction fan running to help with the rH spike inside the tent.

You might want to check with your local grow codes. Where I live the neighbors must not be able to smell my grow for it to remain legal.
