As long as the roots are contained 100% I cant see any issue with different irrigation methods being used

A standard solo cup is 16 US fluid Oz - 16.65 UK fluid OZ which is 473ml

When researching a 16OZ solo cup in the UK is 455ml so there maybe an 18 ml difference between US solo Cup and a UK solo cup of they maybe both 455ml?
When trying to find out how many ml is in a US 16 )Z solo cup no answer could be found because everything is measured in US Imperial measurements.
