When breeding new strains / replenishing stock
How many plants are generally thrown into the selection pool for breeding purposes?
How extensive are the tests and how long does the process generally take?

Great question!

When breeding this takes atleast 1 years maybe more. We start of with 2000 plants and work that down to the best 20. These then we will work on and find the best, productive, stable phenos to then breed with. Then our breed team crosses the strains over 4 generations (200 plants each time and best sekected) after 4 x the cross is rigorously tested and if we are happy she is released.

As for stock I can not say on this as I have nothing to do with this side. I do know when a new batch is produced even though we know she is stable the strain is still ran through testing before re-released
