Haha, you went to the effort to put a picture up of the heater in place so that's going the extra mile in my opinion.

your temps are good. last night outside temp went to 10*f. idont have a conversion chart handy but i think thats -20*c the ladys are on 12/12 from 6pm to 6am lights out { photo girls} and they grew 11/2 inches over night in 50*f. temps

Rather than using a timer you could go to an electrical supply house and for about $15 buy a thermostat. Wire it in before the outlet you plug the heater into and you're set.
