Hi to everyone and hope you all doing fine.

I have two night queens in soil for 2 weeks, both looking fine just the color of bigger one is a bit more pale. Maybe its not a problem but if it is, its better to react on time i think.

Thanks a lot and i apologize if it was nothing.

What type of soil? Could be just a different pheno, doesn't look like N deficiency to me just yet. N deficiency yellows the leaves from the bottom up.. It could be just the camera flash or something, but it looks like top leaves are paler.

What's your water source, and pH @Pera lepak ?

Im using potgound H soil NPK 14:10:18 - 1,5 kg/m3 ph of soil is 5,5-6,5 and im using destilated water ph 7, yday was first feeding with nutriens and i used literaly les than 1/4 of recomended dose ph was 6.
I was thinking the sam that is maybe camera but when led goes on you can see that uper leaves are paler.

Might be diferent pheno as well.

Always a good idea to start low feed, good job there. kind of freaked out whenI read distilled water. It is not recommended for either soil or coco as it screws with cation exchange. Rain water I hear you ask? Well, in nature the soil is alive, in indoor grows 90% it is not a true living soil.

However, you are using nutes. What type? Chemical or organic?

If chemical, are you buffering your distilled water with cal-mag as the very first input and mix well? Otherwise, you may mix and pH to 6, but an hour later pH can shift all over the place.

If organic nutes, then almost the same theory applies, simply because growing under LED is vastly known to push your plants for extra cal-mag. I recommend using tap water, as there usually is enough cal-mag for typical needs.

Since yesterday was the first feed, give it another day or two to see how she reacts. Monitor very closely and report back. The cool thing about LED, especially blurples, is that you can spot deficiencies a mile away

Keep us posted

Ouch, didnt know that about distilled water, i was thinking is better than my tap water full of minerals and stuff, big thanks for this and ill try to collect some rain water ( if i understod that correctly, im not from USA and apologize for bad speling and some misunderstandings)

Yes im using chemical nutes AN, but yday i didnt gave them cal-mag coz only cal and mag that i found was mineral salt separeted( i checked manufacturer and they seem good, they are from Israel and apperantly good) and was thinking to give them tommorow ( but as you said in previos post i want do nothing and next time mix everything together, i didnt know that i can buffer it like that, thanks)

I'll check them and i'll keep you informed.

P.S here are pics from cal and mag

@Pera lepak

Just to make it clearer, using distilled water is not bad at all. Or rain water. The thing is, you shouldn't water the plants with ONLY distilled or rain water. There must be some form of salt to promote chemical exchanges, otherwise it can mess with your system. I'm being a bit over anal here, as this pertains more to hydro than soil, but still relevant. All variables are important to address problems in your grow

Many indoor growers make the mistake of using distilled or rain water (with no nutes), because they don't have a living soil to amend the water.

In your case, it is perfectly fine to use distilled or rain, or tap water (if it is nor overly hard-water) - it is a myth that tap water is that bad.Of course, there may be regions where tap water is exceptionally hard, full of all sorts of crap…

Anyway - to use distilled water you definitely should start with cal-mag and silicon. IIRC, silicon first, then cal-mag, and let it mix really really well. Silicon is optional with soil.. I'm talking about a total EC of 0.3 for this.

This will act as a pH buffer, meaning, when you add your A&B and then pH correct, will be much more stable.
Just a bit of info, for now no need to do anything, lets see how they react these next few days

Make sense coz distilled water has nothing in it.

You made some things much more clear now and thanks a lot. :thanks:

New update in couple of days :photog::laptop:

First update
Hi buddy, happy 4/20 all day long :jointman:,
Left them as you said, they both showed significant grow on side and a bit vertical, it's indica dominant so thats ok i think, color is the same more or less like before on biger plant maybe a bit better, small one looks lovley. Since i gave them nutes on saturday im planing just to give them tap water or cal mag today, what do you think?

Hi @Waira i didn't want to make new thread and overwhelm with new one and have a bit of correlation with thread above. I want to ask did i made a mistake with my nutriens? Thing is im using Jungle juice (grow micro and bloom) and on the back is table how to use them all, and it says all 3 throu all time of life cycle, i know that i shoud start with bloom nutes (carb load, overdive etc) when vertical grow stops but did i made a mistake with jungle juice, done first feeding on a day of 2 week less than 1/4 of recommended dose and today a bit more than 1/2 of rec dose...

Thanks and stay safe. :thanks: :peace:

No mistake, easing into the nutes is wise,... soil is still fresh, plant is small and not eating much yet, so lower ppm feeds are the way to go,... Groff has you sorted well! :toke:
