Defoliating tiny plants?

How can I trim this thing? It’s so tiny but already started flowering. I had to move my tent and I think it stressed it. She is really tiny and it’s hard to even move the fan leaves. Should I just let it go and see what happens or what would you do? Also do you see any issues? She is a little dry because she missed her watering yesterday but she just got fed.

Also you can bend the leaf stems. Just move your fingers along the stam and bend it along its length. It will make sense when you try it. I thinkn ive broken 2 leaf stems ever.

Cut the first single leaf pair below. Then cut all the fan leaves, apart from the top pair, this you have to keep. In three weeks you will repeat, both on the main stem and branches. Your branches will grow bigger and perhaps it could be a great opportunity for LST and multiple colas.

That plant is far from flowering, I cannot even see it sexing yet. Let that poor girl grow. I don't know why people obsess over defoliating.

The only defoliating I do is for air flow.

It has about 9 pistils that I can count. I thought that meant it was flowering. Someone else said it might just be showing it sex. How can I tell the difference between it showing its sex and it actually starting to flower? The only reason I wanted to defoliate is because it is so short I am afraid it is not getting much light to the bud sites.

1. The photo on the left shows 2 tiny leaf like structures and 2 hairs. The hairs are the evidence of female sex. Your plants will show sex b4 they begin to flower.
2. I suggest you take a breath and slow down. You will have plenty of opportunity to LST your girl and expose bud sites. She needs all of the solar panels she can get right now. Focus is on growth. Leaves equal growth.
I suggest you do some research on all of this.

Thanks! Very helpful photos. I appreciate it. I have been reading and studying and trying to do it all on my own. I just kinda freaked when she started showing pistils at 23 days old.

If you want to expose sites start training her.

I am going to start tonight. I was going to just use some hay bail wire and make a horseshoe shape and just kinda pull them down. Will bailing wire work or should I spend the $ on garden ties? They are not that much, but I am not sure I can brave walmart again!

The ties are gentle. I would use them. Just gently pull the top over to as close to horizontal as you dare. Keep training the top down as it grows. The main branches will shoot up. Train the 1st 2 main branches opposite the top. As more branches form they will tell you what to do.
