Hello all my white widow is on day 53. until a couple of days ago no issues. since I switched from bloom nutes to advanced nutrient big bud I’ve seen the leaf tips turning brown and few rusty looking spots. I thought potassium deficiency so I cut back on the big bud a little and started them on the bloom nutes again to increase potassium uptake. Still doesn’t look like it’s improving? I’m feeding my nutrient solution at a ph of 6.3-6.5. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Could it be a nutrient lockout? Do you flush?

What nutrients were you using for bloom. Big bud is a pk booster, not replacement for bloom nutes. When problems arise, like the one you are seeing, My first advice is to check your basics first. What is the soil ph? What is the ppm/ec of the run off?

We would also need to know what medium/soil you're growing in. A flush could definitely be needed based on the ph/ppm answers. Im not sure how lifting the light is going to help with deficiency issues.. I don't think light height is the issue. If you do nothing, nothing will improve. Things will just get worse.

It looks like multiple issues tbh... Possibly a lock out. I see nute burn as well... Do you ever feed them just plain water? If so, how often?

Day 53, is there time to correct?
There are a lot of variables, but in general, yes.. Day 53 for a typical auto is about the same as week 3 of flower for a photo period. I don't know who the breeder is, but most WW autos run about 90days. And by the look of the pics, the buds are just starting to take shape. It only takes a day or two to recover from a decent flush. It's not like trying to recover from topping durring pre flower. The purpose of the flush is to fix ph issues in the soil and leach out all the built up salts and excess nutrients sitting in the soil. That can be corrected pretty quick. I actually had to do it myself last night, and I dont even use bottled nutes. I grow organic.. I noticed the same sort of symptoms on a plant that is 2 weeks into flower. And it was spreading fast! Checked the soil ph.. It was 7ish.. Checked the ppm/ec of the run off.. The ec was flippin 7.2! I couldn't even find a conversion chart that went that high! An ec of 3.6 is about 1800 ppms.. So double that.. My ppms had to be over 3000!! That's a major problem and you almost guarantee there is a lock out of something with that high of an ec. I flushed with ro water ph'd to 6.0 until the run off ec was 1.5. And the soil ph was 6.5ish.. 1.5 ec is about 750 ppms. That was as low as I could get it in my organic soil. Plant has already recovered/dried.. (Thanks to decent fans, lol) Now I just wait a few days to see if the problem stops spreading..

A cannabis plant shouldn't need more than 1200-1500ppm at its peak. Some of course are heavy feeder, but the plant will tell you that.. Ppms are often overlooked, but are very important when trying to resolve or figure out deficiencies/toxicities.

thanks for that info, most my autos are 60-8o days so was wondering. I have never fed over 850ppm. But my well water is 250.

No problem bro! I don't go over 850 my self! That's a solid number! And you're right, for a strain that will finish in 60-65 days, it would be a tad too late to expect to see any results.

I’m using big bu

I’m using the bloom nutes and big bud together just less of each run off phd at 6.2. I haven’t flushed or given them plain phd water in a couple weeks! I’ll flush this next watering or two and see what changes if nothing I’ll try something else. I’m using green mountain genetics finish time is supposed to be 85 days but I’m patient I’ll let them go until done. Thanks to all for your input and expertise I appreciate it very much.
