Hey guys I am new to AFN, been lurking a while and thought I'd finally join up and share what I've been up to. I've been growing our favorite herb for around a year and a half now, and have come along ways from when I have first begun- switching my growing methods, mediums, and strains to find what works best with my setup. After much experimentation, I have noticed that the Auto's in a 3 Gallon DWC are just much more suited to my growing style than anything else I have tried in the past, especially with the limited footprint I have to work with. Because so, maximizing my yields and running perpetual is key to maintaining fresh medicine to aid with my crohns disease, ulcerative colitis, and celiac, although a little more space would be nice- a man can always dream, right? With my recent diagnosis and health complications, things have not been easy, but the reward is worth it to grow your own instead of relying on unknown sources.
This run I have dropped 8 beans which will all be breed out for feminized seeds. I will be choosing two lucky females and spraying them with CS to collect some pollen, and will pollinate 3 girls each with those. I likely will only be spraying a branch or two, so I may end up flowering out the donors, but haven't really made up my mind quite yet. The plan is to create about 10-15 stable auto lines to work with over time that are best for pain relief. I eventually will be testing all of my plants in-house, as I have been trying to save my pennies for an HPLC unit. Anyways, enough blabbing- lets get down to what really matters! The grow!
