Basic set up, first grow
2- 600w roleadro LED
3 gallon pots
FFOF and perlite
GH nutes
2x4x6 tent
carbon filter and fans
temps 66-82
RH around 45-55
Ph at 6.5
4 white widow big bud
3 fast and vast

I was wondering if the yellow leaves on the bottom of the plants are normal at this stage or am I missing something?
Also, are the buds that are forming considered "light and airy"?

If so, remedies??

Thank you!!

Your plants look fine and a few yellow bottom leaves is normal.Just remove the bad leaves Are you using organic or chem nutes and at what dosage?

Hi @namvet25 I wasnt sure about defoliation either so thank you. I am using general hydroponics flora series and a 2-0-0 Cal-Mag at about 3ml per gallon every watering. I feel like Im going light on the nutes, any ideas?

Plants are looking great, way to go on filling that space. I'm curious to see how that led performs.

You want to tighten up your temps a bit, big swings like yours will cause light and airy buds. But, so far great job. Are you running your lights 24/7? I might do that if it kept my temps stable.

Hi @jingo thank you and solid advice. Im running 2 roleadro full spectrum 600 watts with 250 true watts each on a 20/4 schedule. I'd like to keep my temps within a 10 degree range. Right now down here in this desert I live in its still gettin into the 80's out but drops at night, typical desert. 42 days ago I was mostly concerned with the heat, but now Im a little concerned with the lows. Its my first grow and Im still learning. I theoretically want to grow year round , so I guess investment in a small radiant heater and a portable air conditioner with thermostats could be an option to keep the environment temps tip top. I would also like to regulate humidity a bit more. The large bowl of water in my tent isnt cuttin the mustard during veg. Are cool mist or warm mist humidifiers better in the tent?

I've heard the cool mist is an ultrasonic humidifier and they, ults, are supposed to be good in tents.

AC in summer and oil filled rad in winter are common solutions to temp swings. A hi/low fan controller helps allot as does an oversized extraction system. Basically, most guys replace everything over time as they learn their own environment.

Ten degrees is a bit much for good buds. But, since your daytime temps are getting better you may be able to stabilize them right when it's most important. Mid thru late flower.

I'd shoot for a 4-5 degree swing if possible.

Oh yeah, if you have heard water a humidifier will build up scale on your pre filter and tent walls. You just have to factor in extra maintenance.

Looks to me like the plants are just feasting because of their stage of blooming, probably gong through a stretch. What's the ppm? @Vlad The Inhaler and @Bailey how do you measure that on soil?

Looks fine to me. Bottom leaves don`t get much air movement or light, so they die. In case you get yellow ones at the top, keep this cart.
