Well guys, I'm starting this thread to welcome you into my garden. I have already learned so much from all of you and I thought I would share what I'm doing in case someone can learn from me. And I also would love any and all input on what I am doing. I'm still pretty new to this, and the day I stop learning is the day I die.
Anyway, a little about me. I was in a car accident a few years back and injured my back. For two years I was treated by a pain management clinic and prescribed opiate after opiate. Where I lived, it was also illegal to smoke marijuana so in order to continue my pain medication, I had to quit weed. So I did. Well, long story short, after 2 years, thousands of dollars, and a chemical dependency, I said fuck it. I got off of the pain meds, moved to Washington to be with my family and got my green card. Flash forward two more years and here I am. Opiate free, pain controlled, and now, self sustaining with medication. It's totally liberating to grow your own medication, and through using cfl lights and other training techniques, my costs are under 75 dollars a month.
I would call that a miracle.
So now, here we are.
Please, sit back, smoke a bowl and enjoy what I enjoy: the autoflowering marijuana plant. :toke:

My grow :smokeit:
I have a 2ft by 4ft by 5ft grow tent. There are 4 125w cfl lights. Two bright white for veg and two soft white for bloom. I will be adding a T5 panel hanging along the back to facilitate penetration into the middle of the plants.
I have 3 6 inch fans for ventilation. I just keep my tent open 24/7. I don't have much need to keep it closed with the autos and stealth isn't a problem where I live luckily.
I have the lights on a timer for 20/4.

My plants are all in 3 gallon pots. I use a 75/25 mix of washed & buffered coco coir and advanced no. 4 (a mix of peat, sphagnum, pearlite and other beneficial things, it's all organic)
My nutrients are the General Organics GO Box. I order it online.
It's vegan (except for one optional product) and 100% organic. It also has pH perfect technology, so no fiddling with pH. Ever. No really. Ever.
The box is about $35 bucks and lasts me about 3 months.

The girls:
Next due is whiteberry from paradise seeds. I got her as a seedling in miracle grow, not my usual mix. She was also only half full so she has stayed small, however she's doing well. I'm not sure her exact age either, but she's nearing due. Her leaves have started to purple as well. She's definitely got a few more weeks on her.

Royal queen seeds northern lights. She is going to be a special plant. The LST I have done on her has produced some amazing results. She has 4 large main colas and dozens of smaller bud sites. She is going to be a huge producer. I cannot wait to see what is about to happen.

World of seeds Pakistani Ryder
This plant is crazy. I have no clue what is happening with her. She has been bent every which way and still continues to get bigger and bigger. She approaching photo size and just recently showed sex. (Speaking of photo, I'm starting to wonder if this one needs 12/12).
She is a freaking beast and she has already tried to die once after a mistake by my garden sitter while I was away in vacation. We call her Beyoncé now. Because she's a survivor.

And MI5
She is 11 days old today and doing wonderfully. I'm very excited to see what she does. I've read a lot about her on here.

So that's my garden for now.
My personal seed bank consists of currently:
2x paradise seeds whiteberry
2x MI5
3x sweet seeds creme mandarine
2x world of seeds afghan kush Ryder.

Enjoy the pics and I look forward to talking with you all. Sorry they are sideways. I'll figure out how to fix that someday.
(In order, nutes, mi5, Pakistan, Pakistan, northern lights, whiteberry, northern lights, whiteberry, the tent)

cool beans, I like that Northern Lights. You say you did some LSTing on her ? Maybe I can try that bondage kinky stuff. Great grow karma brother, way to go getting off those addictive soul stealing meds, Maybe I can convince my wife of that if I get some good results. :peace:

Opiates are the worst. Good luck with that bro.
I did lst northern lights a bunch. I'll do a detailed post on it. I really believe in it. It's so easy and it costs nothing.

Awesome grow. Really impressive for CFL, how do you handle the heat in the summer days? Paki Ryder doesn't need 12/12, at leats in my experience - just let her run amok and keep LST'ing her, she'll reward you very much. I actually topped every one after my first one to control it.

Really like the set up. Very clean and organized. Your girls look very happy because of it, bravo!

I, like yourself, was in a car accident and became pretty dependent on opiates. While in the hospital they had me on 4mg iv dilaudid every 4 hours because of the trauma and to keep me calm. I didn't know where the fuck I was for 3 weeks. I made them take me off it once I realized what was going on. I turned into a straight up basket case for about a week. I continued on high dose opiates (started at 40mg oxy q6h, 90mg ms contin xr, q12h) for about another 4-6 months and at the start of December got myself off them completely. I knew it was a bad road to go down and expressed my desire to get off them from the start to my doctor. Very happy to hear you escaped them. They put people in a very bad place.

Hey there Darwin. Opiates are no good at all. Also in a bad car wreck here and was taking them for a while and finally said no way fuck it. Not in a legal state, but good luck to you and glad to see you at it. Sounds like you're going pretty good. I use the same nutes and love that they're vegan because so am I. I still regulate the Ph of my feeds though. I never tried doing it without and still want to.

Take care :D

Thanks guys! So far I haven't had a heat problem. It doesn't get very hot here in the summer but we also don't have air conditioning either. Keeping the tent open and air moving kept my temps in the ok range so far. I did only have 2 lights this past summer.
Congrats on getting off of the meds! With all of my experience and research I truly believe that cannabis is a miracle plant. I am on the search for great medicine always so I will be sure to report the effects of my plants. I know that is really important to me.
I'm glad to find people in my same situation.

Love what your doing! Great job defeating the opiates.

Hey guys! Just wanted to update a little. I got a 4ft 6 light T5 set up in my tent today. It has alternating 2700k and 6500k lights so everyone in the tent can benefit from the extra light inside the canopy. I'm hoping it'll help get the lower buds thicker and more vigorous.
The mi5 is springing up fast. She's in the lower left.
Anyway, enjoy!
