I've always germinated seeds without a problem but these auto ultimate seeds have got a dark green/black tap root? Is it a dead seed or is it just part of the shell?

Anytime i have seen a black tap-root the seedling has been dead. Very high chance that they are a bad batch of seeds. I could be wrong.

It doesn't look like the normal tap root, I'm not sure if it just the protective layer for the tap root for it to come out. I hope it's going to be okay

I hope so too, only time will tell.

I don't see any tap roots, but I didn't blow the pic up either. You will know soon enough what is what. Let it play out a bit.

You can see it on the bottom seed. Just a little black spike. Couldn't get my camera to focus close up. I've just ordered another pack just incase. if they are dead I hope the next packet isn't
