Sweet Seeds Dark Devil Grow ... Growing Better Than Expected

What causes the natural leaf burn like that? I've never had it and I'm paranoid now!

I'm not real hip as to the science, but sometimes, the plant uses up the energy in the fan leaves late and drops them. That's why we used to call them "bang leaves" because they would bang on the ground and surprise you

Hey Jay,
I have a limited grow space so I run two tents staggered. I'm not in the best physical shape so I only grow one plant per tent. With autos I harvest about every 45 days. I need a constant flow of cannabis for myself (leukemia survivor) and a buddy that's in a wheelchair from a car accident. Each grow is crucial. So, I've been looking for high-yielding, potent strains. I'm hoping the switch to LED helps with yields. I vape so I really like tasty strains. This particular Dark Devil reeks of floral incense so I'm psyched. I'm trying to find a three or four strain rotation so that I still have some variety. I definitely can see Sweet's Dark Devil being one of the four. I also grow in an area that "frowns" upon growing, but the Dark Devil's scent doesn't pollute the entire house. So that's a plus.

I'm very anxious to see how much she beefs up over the next three weeks. The cola is already big and clunky looking.

I've dropped out of four different colleges and always struggled with what I want to do with my life. My dad works a job he hates and I've always wanted to do something I'm passionate about and earn a living. Getting cancer led to me growing and I really feel like it's my purpose. I love it.

Ha sorry for the life story (effects of the herb haha) but I look forward to growing more Sweet Seeds in the future.

Only just come across your thread. She's looking great man. That light looks awesome, how you finding it?

For the price I don't think you can go wrong in terms of a higher end LED. I have a Pro Grow X5-300 in my other tent. It's 275w actual with 5w LEDs too but it's full spectrum+IR+UV. It burns a bit more electricity but I'm curious to see how it will compare to the all whites. I'm very used to HPS and I just switched over two days ago so it's a bit strange. I should be able to tell if there's a difference in these last few weeks. I'm hoping for a yield boost for sure.

Here's a link to the Pro Grow X5-300 . I got it on eBay for $450 which was a steal because even used units go for like 75% of retail. I imagine it will become a backup to the two XGS-190s but I'm not positive yet. I've got a World of Seed's Northern Lights x Big Bud from Herbies Autos for free when I picked up the Dark Devil 3-pack. I'll do a journal for her too but right now I'm at Day 7 and I usually don't start taking pictures until Day 20 or so. I'm hoping she is a beast. I'll be sure to link the journal when I've created one.

Day 66

Well its Day 66 and these will probably be the last shots before I cut. As I feared she didn't go quite as long as I'd hoped. She essentially just ran out of juice haha. I don't know if I'll ever see a plant as bare (which I'm sure is the reason for the plant's shorter lifespan) as this one ever again, and certainly not in the near future. I've had the oddest plants the past three grows. No biggie just means an earlier harvest and that I get to start my next grow that much sooner! There's an upside). Also, the harvest should be solid top to bottom because penetration was no issue whatsoever. It'll take me a few days to cut the whole thing (I'm meticulous, slow, and have other stuff going on). I'll take the cola first and lower the light so the other buds will get another day or two with the light about 10" closer I'd say. Day 69 I'll start cutting.

Well...here she is.

Oh and I'll update with a dry weight in about two weeks
