So, what's your transplanting technique? Is it the same for autos and photos?

YUP . WHAT I CAME UP WITH DOING IS I GET MY COCO AND PERLITE MIX IT UP THEN SATURATE IT,sorry for the caps lol with 1ml/l calmag plus,Remo nutrients Velokelp and Rhizotonic (thats the nutes i use for transplanting 1 week old plants, older photo's will get precharged with more nutes) @ 5.7-5.8pH let sit for a cpl hours then take handfuls of the fully saturated coco mix and Squeeze handfuls of it until its at "FIELD CAPACITY" which i learned from growing mushrooms in coco.
so to get it to "field capacity" i squeeze the coco/perlite in my hands HARD until waer doesnt DRIP/RUN from my hands but you see the moisture starting to come out of the coco but NOT DRIP OUT then place that in my new pot im TP'ing into. has worked FLWALESSLY so far out of 4-5 plants now so this is how i will do it in the future...
when i transplanted the "Old way" of just putting it in the pot and watering it in i found that the plants suffered stress from the coco around the plant being too wet/dry.. i just couldnt find the right moisture content until i remember about squeezing it to field capacity like i do for my mushroom grows:growing:
hope thats understandable.. if not let me know brotha:pass:
@namvet25 here is my new technique for transplantsing... check out the pics in my post above:pass:

Cool but why don't you put seed directly in final pot after you see tap root in paper towls.

Think that I understand what you mean. Do you use the same technique for autos? I've been contemplating germinating and transplanting a lot lately and I've come to the conclusion that I'm gonna try to do my own nursery pots and then put them in final pots. I'll probably fill the nursery pots the same way as you, try that and see how it works :2cents:.

i used to do that in coco and i was just recently doing that in promix but i was overwatering them early on so when i switched to coco i figured i would try starting in a cup to minimize my chances of overwatering. im probably gonna try what @Ryker604 is talking about below where you cut out rectangular vertical slots in the solo cup and some 1/4"holes at the bottom and thn put a regular solo cup without holes over the pot you just made. then when its ready for transplant take off outer cup and plant in final pot. i may take a stab at trying to plant directly into my coco because i think i have the watering schedule down now:headbang:

Very nice! I haven't watch a photo thread in forever. How long are you vegging? Planned bondage? Happy Growing :vibe:
thanks bro, I'll veg them as long as space permits that should be a good 6 weeks I would say?? Unless they grow too fast of course which is possible in coco... I plan on taking clones and keeping the better pheno.:headbang: I will veg in my auto tent and have a 4x4 tent for flower

Cute little mutant lol!
