New Grower Danielsaaan’s Mephisto Sour Stomper

That’s pretty much how I’m doing it as well. Hopefully they work themselves out at this point. Thanks Dab
You gotta remember, Jeremy's not running in rain science bags and I don't think I've seen him running any rain science bags since he started to 10x10 series. These bags use a lot of water.........period.

If you SLOWLY top water a large percentage(50-60) of your water to all your ladies, give them a 20-30 soak For the water to migrate down. Then give 500ml each to the in the tray and observe how quickly they take it up.. If it's gone in 5 minutes, do it again. I also pick up the pots after the first tray watering to gauge how much it weighs. You can halve that amount if you want, just be observant on how quickly it takes it up.

I use 15 minutes as my "full measure". If it hasn't taken it up in 15 minutes, it's full. Now I haven't had water in the tray in about three Grows. That is from knowing how the pot takes up the water and how much it will hold. That takes time. But now you know what a full pot feels like.

I hope it doesn't feel like I'm harping on you about this subject. Watering is an art and a developed skill. You absolutely have to do it consistently . Container growing needs that moisture cycle of wet and dry down For the roots to be healthy and for the container to be biologically active as much as possible. I make sure I have dry downs running Earthboxes. I use exactly the same technique of muscle memory to determine when I'm adding water to the reservoir.

I can't stress the developing the skill enough.

I'm gonna stop harping on you about it. Feel free to ask any questions, but I I'm not gonna bug you anymore about it, man.

Nah man I appreciate it! The next time they dry out, I will top water, and then try the 500ml in the small trays I have after. Do you bottom water from the very beginning, or after the plants are more established?

Here’s what they currently look like: To me, it looks way more like underwatering than overwatering (then again im still awful at this). The 5 gallon pots got 2L Monday afternoon and 2L yesterday. The stems and leaves are both drooping badly. The 3 gallon is going to need water tonight. Should I try bottom watering the 5 gallons like Bill suggested, or leave them alone for now?

Haha well shit, if I have to water every damn day, I might as well. Want to lock down soil tho first!
Yeah I understand. I guess I just have no desire to do gardening, I just wanna grow pot. I still have no idea what I’m feeding them and why they need it because I personally don’t care lol just here to grow free pot.

Ok, 3 gallon got top watered with 7-800 mL tap water, ph 6.5, with Quillaja. I then put it in a tray of the same for 15 minutes. All the 5 gallon pots went into a tote filled with 2-3” of the same for 15 minutes. They’re considerably heavier now. Guess we’ll see how they look in the next couple of days! Thanks everybody

I don't water heavily or bottom water until the root structure is more established.
