New Grower Danielsaaan’s Fourth Grow - Nightowl Blue Microverse

Might try to delay harvest a couple of days. Ordered an Inkbird Humidity controller. That should allow me to run a humidifier in with the drying plants…

I don't worry about keeping my dry tent 62% inside the tent.. I'd be awfully worried with a humidifier in running my dry tent with the added moisture ... I just make sure the lung room where I want <50% and have just enough air movement in tent so that it is there.. you don't want the air visibly moving but moving... I run a 18"x36"x60" dry tent with a 4" exhaust running on constant speed 3.. after about 4-5 days plants are ready to trim and brown bag for a day then into jars.... I maybe be in left field here curious what others are going to tell you BUT IMPO I wouldn't do that:shrug::d5:

Ok that makes sense. I guess I can work with 60F, 40RH. Paranoid of over-drying now. Will try to check often. Hanging entire plants, so hopefully when they’re all in there, RH creeps up a bit. I’ll hold off on the Inkbird for now
I hear ya the best thing I found that's helped me from over drying is that moisture meter just check with that when there ready get them into brown bags or jars depending how dry it is.. IF I am I've gone too far I go straight to jar with a boveda pack and that's helps bring the RH back up in the jars.. Mind you I am still learning myself too and trying to slow my dry time down also but don't want mold either:thumbsup: Now don't get me wrong the inkbird controller is a very useful tool too. i have a RH and Temp models I use for the grow tents:d5:

Thanks again BCB. We will scope the trichomes tomorrow after work. He’s a good boy and tries his best to help! :jump:

They will be fine for a couple days.

I cut mine to branches first. If I have lots at one time, they get hung in a carboard appliance box I use for drying. If I don't have enough to raise the RH in the box, I just put whole branches in brown bags and give them several days in there as branches before trimming down to bud
(thanks to @Mañ'O'Green's mentioning this), and continuing drying in the bag. My BMxSH solo from this grow is in a bag as branches now. RH in my grow area is mid 30%, so a tad too dry for hanging in the open for long.

As the bud in the bag gets close, I test by jarring it overnight to see what the jar RH settles at. If it stays ~62% the bud goes into groves, or sometimes into burp jars. If the RH in the jar has overnight gone higher than ~~70% or so, bud goes back into the bag for half a day or so, then a retest with the jar. If I find it getting a bit too dry in the jar or Grove, I throw in a raw fan leaf or two to bump it back up. Drying is a bit of an art form, at least it is here in the winter when the RH can be a bit low. Not as bad as some here put up with, but still on the dry side.

Good luck with it, nice plants whatever you do. :pighug:

If you want to bump your humidity up a bit, just use the humidifier in your grow room, not your dry tent. I wouldn't run a humidifier in a tent with my bud. If you figure that the plant is drying too quickly, I suggest just cutting it down to branches, and putting the branches in brown bags to dry. Good luck with it. :pighug:

hey @Danielsaaan - hope youa re doing well!
The plants are looking lovely, and great pics of the trichomes - those karate lessons coming in handy keeping a steady hand :crying:
Just catching up a bit and noticed that you added insulation below, it definitely helps, your roots will thank you. Quick one on the drying tent, up until recently I used a drying tent, set at 55-60% RH, with the extractor running 24/7 - when the RH drops I just place a cup of water in the tent and reduce extractor fan speed, won't make a huge difference to the RH reading but it adds just enough to keep drying slowly. A humidifier inside the drying tent is probably not the way forwards, even with an inkbird the possibility of damaging your crop remains :pass:

65: Front 2 plants and the 1 gallon getting chopped and hung now.
