Damn you fungus gnats...

Personally I use Dawn dishwashing soap dissolved in warm water and mist the areas around and on the plant.
I have done this when the buds are growing also with no negative effects.
Is this a regular diswashing soap? Did u get rid of the flies? How many times did u spray and at what concentration?

Yes regular Dawn dishwashing soap its blue. Gee I don't measure but maybe a teaspoon or two to a liter of water.
Mist the plant and the soil around it and any place you see them. The soap attaches to the little bastards and does them in.
Start with the less is best method. The soap won't harm the plant. You will have to mist a couple of times a day if the infestation is heavy.
Never panic as your grow will be fine. Remember its a f^@King weed. It will grow anywhere.

Ha ha thanx for the vibes man! I have one more question will it handle the larvae too?

Get some mosquito dunks put it in the soil or mix with your water while it bubbles.Mosquito dunks or bits.

Diatomaceous earth. Will work also, yes it breaks the cycle, the adults can't coimb in to lay eggs and the mature larva can't crawl back out of the layer.... Sand and a couple yellow sticky traps yoully have the little bastards beat.

Hello @GoAuto6 , thank you for your input. So only regular sand will do the job? What about the larvae? Will that break the cycle?
I find dunks and bits work better. They are cheep and last a long time. Sand needs to be done ever cycle on top and makes holes when you water.

Mind you this won't work with air pots.

Why doesn’t sand work with fabric pots? I don’t have any gnats but I’d like to know in case I get them.
