I started at about 40", as they grew I slowly dropped them down to 36", eventually to 30",then 26", 23",20" and now sitting at about 18"..Adjust according to your plants, watch for light stress..I run mine 24/0 start to finish. Just what I did and it worked.

My led is 175w and the girls are growing right into the panel. However my hand feels comfortable right under it and the girls don't show any signs of stress ? My light is only 2 inches away and I don't see any negatives ?
I say go as close as it lets you go without heat stress... Is this wrong ?
I tried 24/0 and also 20/4................Can't say I noticed much difference, so being a tight wad penguin, I decided to save 4 hours leccy a day. As for light height, if you put the back of your hand at the same height as the top of your plant.......and it gets a bit too warm, then the light is too close to the plant. Your hand is a good guide.
Depends on what medium you are using, if you're using synthetic or an organic medium that is loaded..I did have slight spotting, but I am using distilled water and was not remineralizing it plus the mix I recycled I didn't amend as much as I should of so I had to supplement..I went from 90 ppm to 120 ppm and now I'm at 170ppm which is just under the "light feeding" dose ( 5ml per gallon of water) for General Organics Cal/mag ..I could probably up it slightly especially coming into flower now.
