Honey that creepy guy with the luxurious manbeard is out there smoking pot again in front of our house. What should we do.

You know, I really wonder if Ruderalis is really that weak, or if its because it was never cultivated in a good environment. I'd think, with selective breeding, it could be respectable on its own. I think a lot of the Ruderalis lore is just that, myth. Just like the idea they are all tiny plants yet I see pics of the 5ft tall on roadsides in pics.
Just like the idea that Mexican weed is all trash. NO, it certainly isn't! Grow anything in a crappy environment, you get crap weed.

I also wonder if some of it was breeder bullshit from the early days of creating autos.

No I'm with you. Best of my knowledge that's what I've read in quite a few books and on the internet. To say autos are ditchweed alone is a broad statement in my opinion. Sure ruderallis alone is, but hybrids are hybrids. Some say it's a descendant of indica that adapted to harsh climates and shorter growing seasons. Originating from Asia, east to central Europe, and of course Russia.

I'm sure someone has tried it at least. If I was in my younger years I would have flipped if I seen it and smoked it lol Would be interesting to try and grow it I guess but I'll stick to what breeders have to offer for now. I wouldn't find it around my way anyhow.

Amen to that! most of the so called experts believe in myths, when if they took just a minute to consider things from a scientific point of view, they too would suspect they'd been feed false information. They are also the culprits who perpetuate false information, mostly through ignorance, not intent. Except for Danny Danko who couldn't find his ass if he had both hands and a spotlight on it......... he'd say anything to collect a paycheck......

I think you do have to take what a lot of the so called experts in cannabis growing say with a grain of salt. Research things yourself and all that.

For example, I was just reading an article today in a weed centric publication where they were talking to so called experts about growing it. Here's what they had to say about ruderalis (autoflowering) strains:

It may have it's limitations...but calling autoflowering strains "ditch weed found in Europe" just shows an ignorance on the subject that pretty much told me these folks were no "experts" in all things cannabis growing. :smoking:
