Hey boss. Ya it's 1am. In bed now. Lol I do put them in straight soil. Usually promix (black and white bale) HP I think. Shame I don't know. But I've been mixing my own last year or so off and on. 3.5cuft. of promix is $35. I can buy 3cuft peat for $10, 4cuft of big perlite for $20. I have lime already, and sometimes I add earthworm castings, or organic harvest soil and compost just to mix in and add some nutrients. It's alot cheaper if you can source the parts seperate, but promix ain't too bad.
Got off track alot, lol I need to sleep. Clones, I put straight into soil, but I try and make the soil with a little more perlite and finer peat. Keep the humidity good, mine varies from 55 to 80 (outdoors). I cut at 45 degree angle, scarify the bottom half inch of stem, dip in water shake, dip in rooting compound. Clonex is great, but I have some powder I got from Walmart or lowes that does the job. 7-10 days I've got roots. Some can be stubborn and take 14-20 anything after that I tend to throw away.
