Good morning @1939bear... is it Friday ? I work for my self, every day is the same day ;) ... looks like I'm not gonna make the mephisto comp now, my tent is not going to be ready in time. Bloody Zamnesia blueberrys, looking like going for a full 12 weeks +
Squeeze a bean or two in there, they don't take up any space for the first couple weeks.

the problem being is that I've got to break the loft garden down to build my 2 new tents (its a full groom rebuild), one being a photo tent for my seedstockers tests. Was hopping I could get it all done for the first few weeks of September but its looking more like the start of oct now. I'm gutted, I don't think I could give the plant the right attention...going to concentrate on rocking the Grandaddy Confidential for the seed stockers dairy comp

Did you trim the fan leaves or do you let them drop on their own ??
I had defoliated a lot of the fans about 3 weeks before chop when she started spending them. I will now do it regularly. It gave me better deep light penetration and better direct uptake of nutes during final swell rather than let them slowly take the nutes warehoused in the fans. Considering that my main goal in this first COB run was to keep them manageable in size, I'm content with the results. Next run I'll let them bust out more aimed at girth opposed to height.

edit: If I wasn't such a picture whore I'd scrog it.

Hey @L0wbob2017 Got me a pair of COBS by Panda . Their adjustable and have been running them at 8000 lux at the top of the plant . I read some were that is max that the plant can use . Sound about right to you ??

Lux readings are a bit squishy for calculations but it works for about 15% difference to the real µmol/(m²s).
The limit of light is 1500 µmol/(m²s) when CO2 is used. without it is about 1000-1200 µmol/(m²s).
To convert that back you need a factor. I will take a factor for a Cree CXB3590 which is 0.0145

The equation is:
Lux x factor = umol/(m²s).

or

umol/(m²s) / factor = Lux

for 1000 umol/(m²s)
Lux = ~ 69000

for 1200 umol/(m²s)
Lux = ~ 83000

so the limit is more about 80000 lux.

So with 8000 lux you are far away from damaging your plants :D ( only if the COB is close to an inch, then u may burn the plant hahahaha )
