Hey thanks man..I remove all fan leaves and cut each branch one by one, hang drying for about 3-4 days checking the stems and crispiness of the bud's surface..Once the stems to the buds bend with a slight split they get removed from the large stems, then on to the trimming.Once all buds are trimmed they get added to the jars with a Caliber IV Hydrometer and sealed for almost 24 hours to get an accurate and precise reading..After 24 hrs, if my RH is 70% and above that tells me the buds need to be taken out of the jars and dried a little longer..Add buds back into the jar and again seal it for say 3-4 hrs to get a reading, maybe longer but no need to wait another day..If say 68%, now the burping process begins..For the first week I'll open the jars and let them air out twice a day for say 5 mins, so 10 mins a day paying close attention to the digital reading..Now the reading will fluctuate as moisture transfers and the reading at times will be slow to climb. The second week I open the jars once say every 2-3 days..My goal is to slowly drop the RH to 60% - 65%..Once this range reads stable, I toss in a 62% Boveda pack or 2 and seal the jars..Now you can drop your RH to 60% and throw in a 59% Boveda as some say that is good for joint rolling..All personal preference or what you have on hand..
