Long lost diamond ring found on carrot 13 years after it went missing

The ring was found embedded on the carrot in the garden (Twitter/@SarahNKraus)

A woman who lost her engagement ring 13 years ago has it back on her finger – after it was found on a carrot in her garden.

Mary Grams, 84, from Alberta, Canada, was devastated when she lost the ring while weeding on her farm in 2004.

She said she never told her late husband, Norman, that she lost the ring, but did tell her son.

However, her daughter-in-law Colleen Daiey pulled up a lumpy and misshapen carrot in the garden this week – and found the ring wedged onto the middle of it.

Ms Daley, who now lives on the farm where Mrs Grams used to live, showed the ring to her husband – and he instantly knew it belonged to his mother.

Mrs Grams has now been reunited with her long lost ring – and she is delighted to still be able to wear it.

She told the news: “I’m going to wear it because it still fits.”

Mrs Grams has now vowed to keep her ring safe, adding: “If I am going outside or anything I am going to put it in a safe space.

“That is what I should have done.”

Time to get puerile........

Update on MikroMachine Day 88

She coming down in 2 weeks no matter what. None of this is headies for me and I'll most likely only smoke a gram off her. I need the money to go bigger next op.

Time for some morning dabs to start the day. I've been LSTing a photoperiod bagseed which is about 1 foot horizontal growth and really starting to get strong shoots. Gonna flip her to flower after the chop and than hopefully wack a zip off her while I wait for shipments on lights , nutes, online fan and filter etc. this grow was my stress test. I heat stressed her, over fed , locked out etc so these numbers will give me a ball park idea of the least to expect from my space. I'm also doubling my space next run. Very excited .

Somebody here advised me ( sorry I've forgotten who  ) to pick most or all of the early blooms on my pepper plant and I would be rewarded later . I listened and did so . Man he wasn't kidding . :crying:

so i knew my $20 chinese ebay fog machine was too good to be true, they just sent me a message advising that due to my "remote location" postage will be over $100! but they will be super generous and split the cost with me lol. still $70 is pretty good deal. funny how they still claim its free postage and warehouse is in Sydney :nono:

I'm a member of Facebook . I joined with a group of people , mostly women who had quit smoking together . They were a fun group and highly supportive . Things have changed now and a lot of the discussion is highly political . Naturally there is a difference of opinion as there is with most political or religious discussions . The discussions have turned extremely nasty now as people pick sides and voice their opinions which of course they are entitled to do . I'm am forever grateful that there is none of that allowed here as all it has done there is create animosity and hard feelings amongst people who used to be friends . :nono:
i know thank god its not here, i see it at almost every other major forum i frequent and yes, like you said all over facebook. its good to have a retreat we dont have to worry about the side picking stupidity!
