@bushmasterar15 Why does everyone I run into have ferrets now? XD And always in pairs of two, haha. My sister has two, cheeks and...I don't remember the other. And my brother has two, daisy and sandpaper. Which is funny because my sister has a new cat named daisy, so everytime she talks about her cat, I think she's talking about her ferret who's name I don't remember.

@SpiffyFoxx they are very social animals so it's always good to have 2 or more so they can play. I have ferrets since I'm unable to get another dog right now, plus they are easier for me to take care of.

I'm kind of leaning back and forth about whether I should do a journal or not. Right now I have GSC, Green crack (one died, got 2 more) and Pineapple express! What were your experiences with those?


@bushmasterar15 Well yea but you could totally have more than 2. Probably smell a lot worse though, haha.
I had gerbils for a time. They're social as well. I wanted to get like 5 of them [they sleep in adorable piles] but the first two I got wouldn't bond, and I totally didn't want a ton of tanks. The younger one was an absolute devil to the other one! The older one died with age, younger one is still alive and now belongs to my sister. He's the opposite of social. Maybe I'll try again with some littermates.

@SpiffyFoxx my guys don't really smell. I use a pine/hardwood litter pellet that does a good job and clean it out regularly. It also depends on the diet
you feed them. I use a high protein specialized ferret diet and also feed RAW diet (chicken, beef, wildgame). You also don't want to use the commercial
ferret shampoos as that strips the oils from their skin/coat so they start producing more which will give you the musky smell. I use an oatmeal bath soak which is good for them.
